I am asking from two different angles. 1) The premium for January 2026 coverage will be paid in December 2025. 2) I received an aca tax credit that I now believe will be reduced when I file my taxes. Will I be able to then claim the difference that I will essentially be billed at tax time? Ex: Premiums actually paid in 2025 for 2025 coverage total $1000 and the Excess advance PTC repayment on form 8962 is $1000.... would you claim $1000 or $2000 on 7206?

Use the address where you would like your W-2 sent.

an earlier thread by MS says there will be no W12 they will just use the generic term Windows. but then, in 100 years, will a w11 computer be compatible. oh well in 100 years i would give a hoot.

I am having the same problem. Installation fails every time I try to install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2022 Redistributable package. I have Windows 11(64bit).

You are probably correct, as 'most people' believe Microsoft, Intuit really are looking out for them. But then again 'most people' pay MSRP for a car, believe their Congress reps, and are sure their are unicorns. They will get WIN11, find that their maalox bill will go up and eventually recognize their life is no better, nore their computer more secure than WIN 10. BUT, they have some really cool, zero value features and gee it will only be a few more years and they will be privedged to upgrade to WIN 12. Oh Boy!

Thanks for your reply. I know I won't have access to the lost data which was why I came here. What will happen now if I install 2025 Turbo Tax....I assume I have to recreate all my rental properties in it with Purchase dates so it can figure out depreciations. Basically, I am asking if Turbotax will still work if I have no 2024 data

Thank you GabiU, Without your link and the updates to the linked article, there is no way I would have known what I had to do to download my 2025 ItsDeductible data.

If you used desktop software downloaded/installed from a CD to your own computer, then the tax files are stored locally on your own hard drive or any backup device you used like a flash drive. They are not stored online. If you cannot recover them due to a hard drive failure, etc. you can get a free transcript from the IRS or for a fee of $30 an actual copy of your tax return.
