Merrill  stated on it's website 2/1/26 that all 1099's were turned over to software companies for import, yet today is 2/10/26 and TT Desktop for Windows still does not have Merrill - Merrill Edge in its import drop down list. I bought TT so that I could download info directly, not type it in. It is about time that TT and Merrill get their act together and make this happen.

We are currently investigating the issue and will provide updates as soon as possible. Here are the three things that other users have used to bypass this specific error:   Strangely, this often affects the selection but not the scrolling. Click into the Month dropdown box. Do not try to click on 09–12 with your mouse cursor. Instead, use the physical scroll wheel on your mouse (or swipe with two fingers on a laptop trackpad) to scroll down to the correct month. Once the correct month is highlighted, press the Enter key on your keyboard rather than clicking it. The mouse click is often what triggers the the error in the field. Click into the Credit Card Number field. Use the Tab key on your keyboard to jump to the Expiration Month field. Immediately type the two digits (e.g., 11) without using your mouse at all. Tab again to move to the Year field. If you are using the online version, this is often caused by a "script error" in your browser's cached data. Open a New Incognito Window. Log back into TurboTax and go straight to the payment screen. Often, the "fresh" session in Incognito will allow the dropdown to function properly.
Please provide the type of entity (1065, 1120-S, etc.) and the form or forms where you see the UBIA calculation is doubling the actual amount.

No, you're not doubling up on these screens.  The first screen is asking about your total Dependent Care Expenses for each child.  The second screen is breaking down who you paid the expenses to.     You could have multiple child care providers, but the total amounts paid to the providers on the second screen should equal the total amounts you paid for Dependent Care on the first screen.    Here's more detailed info on the Child Care Credit.   @Daboa

The Forms Availability webpage shows that Form 8283 is available in TurboTax Online.   If you enter charitable donations of items over $500, TurboTax will prompt you for the additional information needed to populate Form 8283.   You can preview your return before filing to find out how your taxes were calculated. See here for details.  To view all your forms in TurboTax Online, navigate to the Tax Tools menu, select Print Center, and choose "Print, save, or preview this year's return" to view the full PDF with all schedules and worksheets. You may need to pay or register to view the full return before filing.

For 2025, the contribution limits to a 457(b) plan are $23,500.  There is an additional $7,500 catch-up contributions for those over age 50 and a super catch-up of $11,250 for those who are aged 60 to 63.   When entering your W-2 in TurboTax, the contributions to the 457(b) plan will either appear in Box 12 with a code G for Elective Deferrals to a 457(b) or code EE for Roth contributions to a 457(b) plan.  After entering your W-2, you will click through screens until you get to a screen "We need a little more info about box 12".  The question will ask if your employer is a state or local government - if yes, it will ask if you elected to have your employer make contributions to your deferred compensation plan.  If answering no here, that would trigger an excess contribution warning for the 457(b)   An excess IRA contribution would be if you had contributed to a traditional or Roth IRA account, but were ineligible because of income and/or because you were covered by the 457(b) at your workplace.   If you could provide more information about whether this is an excess IRA or excess 457(b) contribution, that would be helpful in getting a correct response to you.   [Edited 2/12/2026, 11:46 AM PST] @shiv360

Thank you. So the fact that my spouse, kids and me all are registered on the address of the sponsor does not matter because she have the apartment ( where she actually lives )and all bills in her name. Did I understand that correctly? And I then file MFS? Obviously without claiming anything.
We can't help with this in the community. Did you fill this out? Here is a link: How do I request a refund for my TurboTax product?

Sequoia 15.6.1 here on a MAC.  Instructions from 2022 do not apply.  The directory structure is different - so no help. Trying to start of TurboTax 2025 it asked for keychain password.  I do not use keychain, I use LastPass.  In fact I am not sure if or what the keychain password would be, as I cancel anytime that is asked for - even when I set up my MAC. So now TurboTax has proceeded past that prompt, but 1) my TurboTax 2024 return is not imported, 2) I would like to import it for use, and 3) I do not see how to do that. What to do next?  Thanks

TurboTax automatically applies the last-month rule, if the current year (now: 2025) does not have HDHP coverage for every month. Only then does TurboTax ask about the coverage in 2024 and step through the last-month rule processing.   And, last month only applies in case of changes to HDHP (not in case of a single change) - I am sorry but I don't understand what this means. What does "single change" refer to?
It's possible this is a reminder to check Schedule B-2 and not a request to enter something more. Have you run the final review?
