What is a AGI if im retired
Huh?   What is "it" that came out to $1000?   And "no W-2"-----what income did you enter on an income tax return?
Just for clarification, even though we received a 1099-S we do not have to report it since the proceeds were $0?

@crystalemspaeth  (a) unless you have "significant" connection to CA , and generally have been away from the state for more than six months, you are a non-resident.  If you have no income from CA, then why are you filing CA return? (b) Do you have home, family etc. in CA ? (c) generally,  your earned income while working abroad ( and  foreign tax-home ) is foreign source income.  This should be eligible for FTC or FEIE ( Foreign Earned Income Exclusion).  You are still liable for  SECA  ( FICA & Medicare at 15.3%).  Please tell more about the situation including  which country, your employer ( local / subsidiary of US entity / US govt.  etc. ),  for how long, when did you leave US etc. etc.

You received a message from Marketing.  Marketing does not really know if your W-2 is available now.  They just want your business.   TurboTax does not have your W-2.   W-2’s come from employers.  There is not a federal or national website that provides W-2’s.   If your employer is partnered with TurboTax to allow the W-2 data to be imported into the software you can do that---but you need the actual W-2 so that you can enter the EIN and the amount from box 1 to import the other data from the W-2---which just saves you the little bit of keying in of the other information.   W-2's come from your employer, and they have until January 31 to issue it.  Some employers allow you to import the W-2 through the software, but for security reasons you still need information from the actual W-2 to import it. Some employers have payroll sites that will have your W-2. You might need to phone, text, drop in, email and/or snail mail an old employer to make sure they know where to send your W-2.     Every 2025 W-2 that you received must be reported on your 2025 tax return, even if they are for small amounts.  Remember that each one of those W-2’s has your Social Security number on it, and that income was reported to the IRS by the employer.  You do not want trouble with the IRS for under-reporting your income or have your refund delayed by having missing income.   ALL of your W-2’s must be entered on the SAME tax return.     Go to Federal>Wages & Income to enter a W-2. After you enter the first one, you click Add Another W-2.     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-forms/get-copy-w-2/L8FTim9MO_US_en_US?uid=m68ee4os   https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/import-export-data-files/import-enter-w-2/L55HzdeDr_US_en_US?uid=m68efe36

If you prepared a 2020 state return back then....in 2021.....you can print it and mail it in now.   You will not get a refund since 2020 refunds have been forfeited.   If you did not prepare a site return for 2020 yet, you will not be able to use TurboTax to do that.  Software for 2020 is no longer available.    You can prepare it on paper forms from the state and mail it in.   You will need information from the 2020 federal return that you filed.     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/state-taxes/contact-state-department-revenue/L9qVToi02_US_en_US?uid=m6e06um0         You have to access your own account and/or  print it for yourself using exactly the same account and user ID that you used when you prepared the return.    https://myturbotax.intuit.com/   Start a 2025 return online and enter some personal information  so that the menu on the left opens up and lets you access your past year returns.   https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/prior-year-return/help/how-do-i-access-my-prior-year-return/01/27010     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/import-export-data-files/save-2021-turbotax-online-return-pdf/L8dHfRkpT_US_en_US?uid=m5y4ch1y   Many people have multiple TT accounts and forget how to access them.  Log out of the account you are in now.     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/account-management/many-intuit-accounts-turbotax/L9aVfKS1Z_US_en_US?uid=ll5g6zcx Account Recovery     Or did you use the desktop version of TurboTax?  If so, the files are on your own hard drive or any backup device you used like a flash drive.     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-return/find-last-year-tax-data-file-tax-file-computer/L0XJvPaJr_US_en_US   https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/data-systems/find-tax-data-file-mac/L4VNGm33S_US_en_US?uid=m6guhab0   You can get a free transcript from the IRS or for a fee of $30, an actual copy of your tax return. https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4506.pdf       SAVE YOUR TAX RETURNS ! The $6,000 Enhanced Deduction for Seniors is reported on IRS Schedule 1-A Part V lines 31 through 37.  The total of IRS Schedule 1-A may be found on line 13b of the IRS form 1040.   In TurboTax Online, you may print or view your full tax returns prior to filing after you have paid for the software.   View the entries down the left side of the screen at Tax Tools. Select Print Center. Select Print, save or preview this year's return.  In TurboTax Desktop, select FORMS in the upper right hand corner of the screen.   @knapphome2003

No, that is not what it means.    Only the IRS controls when your refund will be approved and issued.   The "average" is 21 days but it can take longer----and .....if you are getting additional child tax credit or earned income credit, the PATH act means your refund is held by the IRS for a longer time---til late February.   Five days early means that TurboTax will pay your refund up to five days ahead of the date that the IRS finally says that the IRS will pay your refund.   So for example if the IRS refund site says your refund will be issued on ..say.....February 27....you could get it between Feb 22 and Feb 26----"up to"  five days earlier than the IRS's date.

I made monthly non-cash contributions to the same charity   I would like to combine them on the same "Non-Cash Contribution Worksheet" which implies the word "various"  is a valid entry for the date of contribution. But it doesn't allow entry directly in "Forms" mode.   Using the EasyStep process, it does not allow you to enter a non date in the field   Any workaround to get this done.
Does anyone know why this is attached to a Quicken account and I didn't add this to my account

I have contributed the maximum amount to my HSA in 2023 and 2024. For those years, I had a HDHP every month for that year. However, I was laid off in 2025, which meant I was insured JAN - JUN under a HDHP up until I lost my job. I started a new job in NOV 2025 and my HDHP insurance began at the start of DEC 2025. I contributed $2,500 to my HSA for 2025 (in total) which is within bounds of the permitted $2,508 pro-rated amount.    The problem is that TurboTax keeps identifying that I started my insurance in DEC, and it's trying to apply a last-month rule from DEC 2024. It keeps saying I will have to file $364 as income (from failing testing period), when I did not need or use the last-month rule on my 2024 tax return. I am within the means of the pro-rated amount. How can I stop it from trying to use the last-month rule without lying about my 2024/2025 health coverage on my taxes?   Edit: I am convinced Turbo Tax is forcibly applying the last-month rule, and changing my data to fit that narrative. I am posting screenshots of the questions asked by Turbo Tax to calculate HSA. I have redacted my information from the screenshots and omitted 1-2 sections. I have also included the smart work sheets showing how the information is calculated compared to my choices, and some additional screenshots showing the spouse weirdness mentioned below.   After applying the last-month rule, it asks about my Spouse's coverage when I have always filed as Single. If I leave all the options blank (not choosing self, family, or none) it will then ask me to fill in the blanks later during the review. When it does this, it shows the Smart Sheet for determining line 18. When I manually select self for all months in 2024, it does not remove the added income from the last-month rule. I have tried selecting the bubbles on the document itself (pictured) and selecting the bubble where the question is asked (not pictured), but the result is the same.

Does it make a difference if the tax-free/taxable financial aid is a pell grant when determining if its student self support? Or are pell grants considered scholarships whether it’s taxable or tax-free? Therefore a tax-free or taxable scholarship/pell grant/off campus scholarship is not considered as her providing her own support?  In addition, I was reading some of your responses to others and I want to make sure I understand correctly. The majority of her total expenses for the year would’ve been covered by scholarship/pell grant. We do provide her a home/food/insurance etc when she’s home from college but what we pay I don’t think equals the amount of scholarship/pell she receives. Yet, we can still claim her as a dependent because the majority of her expenses are paid from taxable and tax-free scholarship/pell grant?

Column B of Form 1095-A asks you to enter the second lowest cost Silver plan (SLCSP) premium amounts. To find the second lowest cost Silver plan premium amounts for you, you would normally use this tool at Healthcare.gov. The software won't accept zeroes in Column B. However, it's come to my attention that the 2025 amounts for Column B are not yet shown in the tool at Healthcare.gov.    I'd suggest contacting your insurance carrier directly or looking in your Marketplace account to see if the amounts appear there. The current figures should be available in the Healthcare.gov tool by February 1st. If you file your return with incorrect/obsolete amounts, it could result in your return being rejected.   For more information on Form 1095-A, please see this TurboTax tips article.
I should be able to add my overtime deduction on Schedule 1-A but cannot
That is currently patching to the 1/22/2026 update.  I confirmed via the signature on the file but otherwise installed again for giggles.  Still no dice.
