I too bought a new computer when my previous one was still good just to accommodate turbo tax desktop (Also been using since its inception on floppy disk) but it won't let me download to ANY windows ...

click on the sign in and security link.
your old phone # should be listed click on "change" and follow instructions. it must be a US phone number

You cannot transfer information from a 2023 tax return into a 2025 tax return. Transferring only works from the immediately preceding year, from 2023 to 2024, or from 2024 to 2025. TurboTax Online is...

You cannot transfer information from a 2023 tax return into a 2025 tax return. Transferring only works from the immediately preceding year, from 2023 to 2024, or from 2024 to 2025. TurboTax Online is now only for 2025, so you cannot transfer your 2023 information into TurboTax Online.

online preparation and e-filing for 2024 are now closed. you will have to obtain the desktop version of 2024 and upload the .tax2024 file to complete that year. the return will have to be mailed.

there may be other sources for the 2024 app but beware of used versions. they may not work. to prevent from having the same issue with 2025, the return needs to be e-filed by around 10/15/2026 though Turbotax may allow e-filing for a small additional time period.
if you paid your fees for 2024 contact support. they may push the 2024 desktop version to you for no additional cost
