Oh and the IRMAA deductions are on top of the standard Medicare premium $202.90.

@hung05  I got my SS letter last week showing my new 2026 Social Security payments and IRMAA amounts.....

When you prepared your state return, did the tax form show that you owed a balance due to the state?   If so, how did you pay your state tax?   Did you mail the state a check or money order?   Did you pay the state on the state's web site?   Or...did the state change something on your return that is resulting in an amount that you now owe?   What does the letter from the state say?      TurboTax gets no information from the state after you file your return, so no one at TT knows why you owe the state.

This is exactly what I'm going through and I'm so confused. I also paid them quarterly since 2022 and just got a notice that I have a multi-thousand credit sitting in my business (household employee) account that is about to expire. That credit is also there for more years. This seems to be the quarterly payments I made. Of course, the phone lines are always too busy at the IRS to actually reach anyone. Like you, it was also paid with my 1040, so I was double taxed. I finally realized this and amended one return, but I'm guessing that will come back saying it needs to be on the Schedule H.    How in the world does a normal person resolve this??

Do they say you had a tax due you didn’t pay?   If you paid it, how did you pay it?   Your only proof of payment is your bank statement or credit card showing the payment coming out.  Turbo Tax only passes your bank account number to the IRS or state for them to take it out of your account.  (Most states do not let you pay by Direct Debit so you have to mail in a check or go directly to the state's website to pay).  And some banks use different routing numbers for deposits and payments.  Double check the number you entered with your bank.   Check the printout or PDF of your return; look for the state cover sheet with the Turbotax logo.  If you owed tax, it will show the payment information and how/when you decided to pay.  Read the state payment instructions carefully since most states cannot be paid from within the TT system and requires additional steps.

Well, I think I just figured that when I log in and go to "manage my Intuit account and under "go right to your products"....Turbo Tax is listed twice.  Turbo Tax Business and Turbo Tax.  For some reason, when I go to Turbo Tax Business, none of my info comes up.  When I go to Turbo Tax, I see some of the info does come up, but I can't choose yet to enter my business income or expenses yet.  Confusing.

Tax laws are usually incorporated by late January when the IRS begins to accept returns. And more updates are done even after that time.

Does your spouse have earned income (a W-2 or self-employment profit), which could qualify you for a Traditional IRA contribution?   Is your health insurance a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) that qualifies for a Health Savings Account (HSA), and you don't have any other kind of health insurance?  If you qualify to make an HSA contribution (which is why I asked those questions), that would also lower your income.

What sort of help are you hoping to get? Do  you still need to finish preparing your 2024 return?   The "Live" experts do not help with past year returns but we can answer questions here in the user forum.     Or did you make a mistake and do you need to amend your 2024 return?  Has it been fully processed by the IRS?     And...paying your fees did not file your tax return.....is that the issue----was the return not ever filed?  Did you go all the way through the FILE section after paying and click a big orange button that said "Transmit my returns now?"    Or was the return rejected?    Does your account say "rejected," "printed," or "ready to mail?"
