Thanks for your help. It kept me going until I found the issue.    There is a button under income labeled "Home Sales". I believed I was suppose use that to enter the sale of the rental property. That was incorrect since TB4B was already aware of the rental property from all the previous years that I had filed. Once I removed the data under "Home Sales" everything looked correct. No double taxation now.    Merry Christmas! G

I am using on Windows version 11.  I believe the C++ library was updated during insta. I got all the way thru to activation.  Put in the code and then it asked me "Are you sure? You will miss the chance to try TurboTax Online for $0. You can always switch back to your Desktop software later. Please note, this is a one-time offer that won't be available later.  Sign up for online   There was no option to decline.  If I say yes, it takes me to online being available dec 17th.  I do not want online and if you go that way, I will probably change software next year.  I just want to install my windows desktop version I paid for via amazon and your link. HELP, this is taking way too long to do.
Where do I find the What-If worksheet?

TurboTax gets no information from the IRS or your state after you file your tax return---not if you e-file and not if you file by mail.   Once you file your tax return, TT knows nothing more, nor can TT get any sort of update for you.      You do not mention how long ago you mailed your IL return.  The state of IL is rather slow to process mailed returns.   It could take them several months to process a mailed return.   You have to check with the state refund site.   https://tax.illinois.gov/

Not only did Intuit discontinue ItsDeductible, they eliminated your ability to go back to the historical data for prior tax years.  Sure, they told you to back up your data; but that only works for people who don't travel and, therefore, have uninterrupted use of their computer.  As for me, I don't travel with my computer and now I have no way to retrieve prior year data.  For the next three plus years, I hope I don't get audited on my charitable deductions.

Online is only good for the current year. For prior years you need to buy the Desktop program for each year. They only sell the last 3 years. You have to file each year separately. Or go to a local tax place. Or if you have a simple return you can get the blank forms and fill them out by hand. I have the IRS links to most of the years. How to prepare a prior year return https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/using-turbotax/help/how-do-i-prepare-a-prior-year-tax-return/00/25984   To do a prior year return you have to buy the Desktop program here, https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products You will need a full Windows or Mac to install it on. You have to print and mail prior year returns. When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS received the return. Don’t forget state.
If accepted on Windows 10 esu where will it be advertised on December 16, 2025. Some obscure place on the web?
I agree. This is just another money grab as far as I am concerned. Come on. Windows 10 ESU should be compatible.
