It's a possibility that the acquired date is wrong, it might be after the sale date for instance. Otherwise, you may need to delete that entry and re-enter it.

For a Schedule C sole proprietor business filed with your personal taxes, you can file your extension at our Easy Extension website.
An extension gives you until October 15, 2025 to file your taxes instead of the tax deadline of April 15, 2025. You must file an extension by April 15, 2025 to get extra time to file your taxes without a penalty. There's no further extension past October 15, 2025.
An extension does not give you extra time to pay your taxes, which are due on April 15, 2025. Even if you can't pay your taxes by the deadline, file an extension anyway so you can avoid the late-filing penalty.

Thanks. I have TurboTax Desktop Deluxe. I am not able to edit line 10 of Form 2210 -- that was my first approach, but I couldn't do it. But yes, that's exactly what I want to do.

What is a "qualifying person" for Head of Household?
If you qualify as Head of Household, when you enter your marital status (single or married filing separately) into MyInfo, and then enter your qualifying dependent, TurboTax will offer HOH as your filing status.

I paid $130 for this product: https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/cd-download/home-and-business.jsp and then when I got done going through all the forms and got to the end section, it said I to authorize another $40 payment in order to efile my federal return. Has anyone else experienced that? Felt like a big switcharoo at the end, I didn't like it.

I realize this isn't your original issue, but based on that one sentence, here's some info that may help you or others later on to be sure you are getting proper credit for any extension payment you made with an extension request. The entries for both Federal and state extension payments are found on the Federal side of the return interview. So to report your extension payment(s) in the program (or to confirm the amount if autopopulated), here is the navigation in the desktop software: Federal tab (it's the PERSONAL tab in Home and Business) Subtab Deductions & Credits "I'll choose what I work on" Your 2024 Deductions & Credits summary page Scroll down to topic Estimates and Other Taxes Choose subtopic Other Income Taxes and click Start or Update. On the "Other Income Taxes" screen, under the topic "Payments with Extension" choose the type of extension payment (Federal, state, local) and correct tax year for the payment, then Start or Update.
