In 2025, if the doors qualify (and many don't), this is a credit and not a deduction, so yes.
In 2026, no as the tax credit has expired.

How long has it been since you filed? The IRS says most returns that are efiled and choose direct deposit will receive their refunds within 21 days. If it's been longer than that, you can phone the IRS if you want to see if they can tell you anything about the delay. But before doing that, you should check the following things: Did you efile? If so, first check that your efiled return was accepted for processing by the IRS after your filing. Here's how: What term is used at the Tax Home page of your account? Does it show as accepted, rejected, printed, started, ready to mail, or what? If that showed your efiled return was accepted (or if you printed and mailed a paper return), what do you see at the IRS "Where's My Refund" tracker tool? Is there any message there? https://www.irs.gov/refunds

This is my first year claiming my kids and HOH, but it's still been 2 months and I've done everything I was supposed to "I've done everything I was supposed to." What does that refer to? Does that just mean you did everything in regard to filing, or did you get a letter/notice from the IRS that asked you to do something? We can tell you how to begin investigating your delay. You may end up having to phone the IRS to see if they can explain the delay. But before doing that, you should check on the things I mention below: Did you efile? If so, first check that your efiled return was accepted for processing by the IRS when you efiled back in early February. I've asked @Hal_Al to assist you with this when he's next in the forum, normally later this morning.

My recommendation for those stuck here because the TurboTax team is useless, I made a separate account on the easy extension tool so that there is no risk of me being locked out of e filing as some have mentioned a risk of, whatever happens. If they get a blank document and an extension form and then later a full complete document, I think it will be clear enough. The main point being to do them with different accounts so you dont accidentally file your incomplete actual taxes. I can confirm that the form afterward said that I filed my extension, not that I filed my return (BTW you can just hit skip for now to bypass the billing screen since this is free) and submit. Also, don't worry the email address isnt a self dox, it is a proton mail alias, so it does nothing to have it.

I would go back to the step by step entry and make sure it shows 2 columns especially if you entered the spouse using Forms mode. Otherwise something else might be missing. Don't use Walk me though everything. Pick the other choice - I'll choose what I work on. Then go directly to the SS entry. Enter a SSA-1099, SSA-1099-SM or RRB-1099 under Federal Taxes (Personal for Home&Business) Wages and Income Then scroll down to Retirement Plans and Social Security Then the second line - Social Security (SSA-1099. RRB-1099) - click the Start, Update or Revisit button Here's a screen shot from 2024. Then after you fill out this screen be sure to continue and answer the Foreign County question for each spouse on the next page - should be NO. That is VERY Important.

The federal and state tax due or the Turbo Tax fees? Your only proof of payment is your bank statement or credit card showing the payment coming out. Turbo Tax only passes your bank account number to the IRS or state for them to take it out of your account. And the IRS or state does not update Turbo Tax when or if they get your payment. Check the printout or PDF of your return; the cover sheet should show the payment information and how/when you decided to pay.
