I would remind everyone no matter which company one chooses (including TurboTax) to read the Privacy policy they want you to agree to.  Some want to be able to do a lot with your information.   Some you can "opt out" or configure some options, while others not so much.   So that's another thing to compare when making a decision.

@bushle    Were you able to resolve your issue?   If not, here's another suggestion I saw on another thread.  If necessary, you may wish to follow that thread, too.  I've placed the link at the end of this posting.   @user17686640811   who is using a Mac  wrote: "I opened my 2024 tax file using TurboTax 2024. It notified me that there were updates necessary to the software. I allowed it to update TurboTax 2024 and open my last-year's file. Then I re-saved the file. I then quit TT2024, re-opened TT2025, and was able to transfer the data."   Another user there @AMC88  said that worked for them, too.   https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/taxes/discussion/attempting-to-import-last-year-s-tax-return-but-turbotax-will-not-do-it-found-the-correct-file/00/3718897
Yes, if you itemize. But you can only deduct a total amount of medical expenses greater than 7.5 percent of your AGI.
I will be following up with HR on why the tips were not put in box 7. I am also curious what box the overtime should be in since that is also in box 14 with the tips. Thank you so much for your help ... See more...

I will miss turbo tax, I have used it for last 20 years Nothing wrong with that but, hopefully, this is recognized as a short-term solution. H&R Block will almost certainly abandon Windows 10 support when security updates are no longer being released and that's likely to be this year (or next).
What do I do if the tips are reported (included in box 1) but not separately listed in box 7?

Turbotax used my homeowner's insurance value instead of the property tax and I am not offered a way to fix/edit.

FWIW, I started the process of reporting the problem and gave up.  So many hoops to jump through.  It's ridiculous.     I've used Turbotax for many years and this will likely be my last.  They make it so difficult to report a problem.  And then there's the lack of dark mode, which has been requested for years and never done.
I'm experiencing the same issue... It let's me fill in the 1099R info, but then won't accept it and says needs review
Sure enough...Happens in the "Online" software too.

@higerdm    Wow, that is really messed up.   When I first deleted another charity, it didn't seem to remove the items in the two charities in which I had entered item donations, but right after I clicked "Done" and exited the charity area, then all the items in two other charities were removed.   I tried entering some Items in a newly created charity, and when I deleted a different charity, it still removed all items in all of them...so it doesn't depend on the Charity form carrying over from the prior year. __________________ That was in my Windows Desktop Premier...don't know what happens in the Online software.   @Opus 17    Any reporting of this in the private area?

That method works.  I was confused that on the "interview" form I could not enter additional directly on the form, however when I clicked twice it took me to a worksheet on which I could enter the number.  The confusion came from not being able to enter it directly, which is what I would have expected in the "interview".

Your situation is unclear. If you received the UC payments and repaid them in the same year, you do not owe the income taxes. If this occurred in different years, you owe the income taxes for the year received. In the year repaid, recompute the taxes for the year received by excluding the repayment. The decrease in taxes is taken as a credit on Schedule 3 line 13b. These are the rules under IRC 1341. You may need the help of a tax pro. The 2020 TuboTax app is no longer functioning to allow you to do the recalculation. Another complication could arise if you will be making the UC repayments over a period of years. You can only take the credit for the amount actually repaid. and it must be more than $3,000  for that year. Thus, this would require multiple recalculations for 2020 taxes and claiming the repayment credit over multiple years.
