That's an issue with the program. You can't select "Expired" because the box to enter your proceeds disappears. You have to select "Sold" and then enter the date of expiration as the sales date.

I have a Treasury Bond that has TWO (2) interest adjustments, Amortized Bond Premium and also Accrued Interest. I put both into one 1099-INT and TurboTax 2025 generated a page at end of return called "Additional Information From 2025 Federal Tax Return Schedule B Interest and Dividend Income, Interest Adjustments, Continuation Statement", showing the breakout of the two adjustments. Can I still efile with this extra page at end of return? I did try creating a new 1099-INT and splitting the interest, putting the ABP on one and the Accrued Interest on the other. However, the program still added that extra page at the end of return. I want to be able to efile and not have to mail a paper return. Will this extra page at end cause efile to fail? Please advise.

You can only transfer the 2024 tax return into 2025. And you have to transfer the prior year before you start 2024. So you will have to manually enter anything you need.

Hi Diane, Any feedback on this and any tentative date on a new estimated taxes worksheet? I agree that is you are continuing to work and not much has changed from year to year, it's logical to utilize the previous year's info. However, for those of us that have retired and have a much different situation from the previous year, we need a way to enter information separate from the previous year and complete all necessary questions in order to get an estimated quarterly tax. I'm surprised Turbo Tax wouldn't have this forethought and make sure all scenarios can be considered. Thank you in advance for trying to help!

When entering 1099-NEC information it asks me about tips. I type in the tip amount, answer the unusual questions part, and it says "We'll confirm your total qualified tips for Food delivery driving once we have all of your Schedule C info." And it just does not do that. With my mileage income, and my deductions, I'm put in the negative, so I don't know if that's causing the system problems, but it simply does not ever apply the tip deduction. It deducts my expenses just fine, but even though it says it will confirm the total qualified tips, it doesn't. It never asks me to confirm anything. It just moves on to the next section. I got all the way to file and it never did.

Under the IRS Final Tangible Property Regulations my opinion is that the replacement of a water heater is a repair. You can always use the de minimus safe harbor anyway. You have to use the safe harbor, you have to make the elections and submit it with your tax return. You make the election in the rental section of TurboTax.
