I don't think they partner with TurboTax, so you may not get a legit copy.

@RogerD1 What is the "so what" answering this question? Is it timing to calculate quarterly taxes (vs. taking a one time RMD distribution every Dec and only owing eat'd taxes once in Jan)

I got the same email and it still says that the section on home energy credits is "available soon". They need to get their act together.

In certain cases, there may be confusion about what type of payment method was selected when filing the tax return. There is an option called Refund Advance Loan. And there is an option where the customer pays their TurboTax using the refund money - Refund Transfer. And these two are often confused.
To make sure there is no confusion, please print out your tax return to PDF and take a look at the letters that come with the return. The information will include the processing agreement and any relevant details regarding the payment method you selected (Refund Transfer or Refund Advance). Another way to confirm it is to give the Customer Service a call. After verifying your identity, they will be able to give you a certain answer. Once the customer care confirms that you had indeed requested a Refund Advance, please ask them to investigate. If you selected Refund Transfer, then the IRS states that it processes tax refunds within 21 days. If your return was accepted on 01/15/26, then according to the IRS schedule, you should receive a refund around the first week of February.

MY RETURN IS IN PENDING—what does that mean?
You will not get any information from the IRS refund site while your return is in pending. The IRS does not have your return yet.
Did you e-file? Did you click that big orange button that said “Transmit my returns now?” If so, your return is now in “pending” on a server. Do not try to change anything while your return is in pending. On January 26 the IRS will begin to accept/reject e-files. The IRS accepts a FEW returns in test batches ahead of January 26—-but that is very random. Watch your emails—including your spam folder—for the notice about whether your e-file has been accepted or rejected. If your return is rejected you will be able to make corrections before re-filing. If the return you e-filed is accepted you will have to wait until it has been fully processed and then amend it to fix any mistakes or omissions. It has been taking the IRS four to six months—sometimes longer—to process amended returns. If you e-filed your state return there will be another email later that tells you if the state was accepted or rejected.
WARNING: Do not try to change anything on your return while it is pending.

Good idea, but Payroll offices the land over would not be able to meet the earlier dates. They would revolt. You'd be surprised how many during-the-year tax errors are fixed so that the W-2s balance to Payroll records. Believe, me, those poor folks scramble in January.

TurbotTax, like the IRS, only retains returns for 7 years, so 2018 may be permanently gone. Since TurboTax no longer supports 2018, the xxx.ta2018 file can not be openrde. You can check the IRS website to see if it is still available or perhaps a transcript. you may need to create an account if you don't have one.

Yeah unfortunately I do not think it will work like that on the online version. Every time I click through it just takes me back to the same screen and there is never an edit button by business code. I may just need to download the desktop, probably better anyways so I can make sure everything is as detailed as possible.

When everything was required to be done on paper, the IRS required that the W2s, 1099s, etc be issued by January 31st of each year. Now with computers, maybe the IRS should require they be issued by the 15th, or even better, the 8th?

Sorry I don't know the Online version and my steps might be old. Hopefully someone else will reply. If you can get to to screen that shows the Business name to click on, Then click EDIT by the business name and the next screen should be a list of topics, Business Profile, Income, Inventory/Cost of Goods Sold, Expenses, Assets, and Final Details last. It should be under Profile

No I'm correct why would I amend my taxes just to update my pin I'm not stupid as I stated I amended my 2023 taxes I had info that needed to be corrected I didn't report an item correctly fas as number wise ( I have my documents to support the change ) so that why I amended my return it let me e-file because as stated several places it states if u successfully efiled the return for that year you will be able to amend it and efile because that's how I originally filed my return my point is it was rejected the rejected reason was I didn't add my pin number
