When reporting your rental activity, you should review and/or enter the carryover losses for that property on the "Situations" page by checking the box for "I have passive activity real estate losses carried over from a prior year."
In TurboTax Online, this topic appears at the bottom of the Rental Property summary page under Less Common Situations >> Carryovers, limitations, at-risk info, etc. Follow the interview to confirm amounts that were transferred from your prior year return or enter any that don't match your workpapers from that return.
In TurboTax Desktop, look for the page "Do any of these situations apply to this property?" and check the boxes under Carryovers that you need to review. Compare your prior year return to confirm or enter carryovers for this property.

Since you already reported this 1099-R on your 2024 tax return and designated on that return that it was a 1099-R for 2025, then it has already been accounted for in your tax filings and need not be reported again on your 2025. Just keep the 1099-R with your tax records and you should be good to go.

I'm unable to enter the credits from 167 countries. After a few, it tells me I'm done. I have no idea what to do and there is evidently no help available from TurboTax unless I pay for a tax expert. I don't need an expert, I need this application to work as it's supposed to.

I don't have any reason to believe that TurboTax calculates MAGI for the purpose of line 6 of Form 8582 any differently than described in the instructions for Form 8582 line 6: https://www.irs.gov/instructions/i8582#en_US_2025_publink1000278211 This MAGI has nothing to do with any MAGI used for retirement contributions. The modifications to AGI are different. You can view the MAGI for the purpose of line 6 of Form 8582 by viewing the From 8582 that TurboTax prepares (assuming that you have rental real estate activities with active participation that require Part II of Form 8582 to be prepared). With the online version of TurboTax, you must pay for TurboTax before you can download and view this form.

If TurboTax isn’t creating Form 8606 for 2024 (filed in 2025) even though you have a prior-year basis, double-check that you entered your 1099-R for any distributions and answered "Yes" to the question about nondeductible IRA contributions. If you didn’t make new contributions, TurboTax may skip the form. If that is what happened, try manually adding it or re-entering your IRA details.
Key Troubleshooting Steps for TurboTax (2024/2025 Filing):
Check Form 1099-R: Ensure the IRA/SEP/SIMPLE box is checked on your 1099-R input.
Re-trigger the Question: Search for "1099-R" in TurboTax, click "Jump to 1099-R," and ensure you answer "Yes" to "Any nondeductible Contributions to your IRA?" to trigger the 8606.
Carryover Basis: Ensure your 2023 Form 8606 (Line 14) was properly carried over to the 2024 tax return to establish the initial basis.
If no current year contribution: If you only have prior-year basis but no 2024 contribution or distribution, you may not need a 2024 8606, though you can add it manually in the desktop version.
Manual Entry: If the software fails to carry over the basis, you may need to manually input the prior year's basis in the IRA contribution section.
If you recently made a conversion and the basis isn't being used, ensure you properly reported it as a conversion and not just a rollover.

If you file a joint return as a qualifying spouse, and your spouse owes a debt, the government may try to reduce your refund. You can include a "Request for Injured Spouse" Form 8379 with your tax return in TurboTax.
The IRS has a tool you can use to see if you qualify for injured spouse relief. Use this link and Click on Begin: Can I or my spouse claim part of a refund being applied toward a debt owed by the other spouse?
You may be eligible for injured spouse relief if:
You filed a joint return with your spouse
Your tax refund was applied to your spouse's overdue debts
You weren't responsible for the debt
The section in TurboTax covers both injured and innocent spouse relief, so it is easy to mix them up. You are looking for injured spouse relief. Leave the questions regarding Innocent Spouse Relief blank if you only want to claim Injured Spouse Relief.
Innocent Spouse Relief protects you from paying additional taxes, penalties, and interest owed due to your spouse's errors or fraud on a joint return.
Injured Spouse Relief allows you to recover your portion of a joint tax refund that was seized to pay your spouse's past-due debts, such as child support, student loans, or other federal taxes.
You can get to that section of TurboTax as follows:
Click on "Search" at the top right of your TurboTax screen and
Type "injured spouse" in the search bar and hit Enter
Next, click on the link that says "Jump to injured spouse"
Your screen will say Innocent or Injured Spouse Relief Do you want to claim Innocent or Injured Spouse Relief?
Click on Yes
Your screen will say Innocent and Injured Spouse Relief, enter 2025 for the year and Continue
Your screen will say Your request for Innocent Spouse Relief. In the Box there is a Form, Select No in Box 1 and Continue
Your next screen will say Let's see if you Qualify for Injured Spouse Relief. Check the state(s) that apply. And Continue
Your screen will say Tell Us More About Your Situation. Check all of the boxes that apply. And Continue.
Your screen will say Tell Us More About Your Situation Answer Yes or No as applicable, and Continue
Your next screen will say You qualify for Injured Spouse Relief if you qualify.
