Thanks!  I wrote ERP Payroll software for a long time.  The folks on the functional side are Saints with what they have to put up with: an acceptable error rate of 0% and an immovable (Jan 31) deadline from the IRS. God bless 'em.

I am filing in Utah. At the time of me writing this I have already e-filed and both federal and state was accepted. I believe since 2020, or earlier, I’ve been putting my CIB in the box after asking a couple of coworkers throughout the years. Am I going to get any repercussions? Because it looks like I’ve been submitting the wrong amount in the Native American income box when asked “Which of these apply to you” page when filing this whole time.

Believe, me, those poor folks scramble in January. 100% accurate post!

The data entry has been fixed and most financial institutions are listed.    However, some financial institutions are missing currently and some 1099-Rs cannot be imported from some institutions because they are not in the required format as of yet.    Sorry, but people who file this early are nuts anyway, for the most part.
Can you explain more?  Are you haveing a problem picking direct deposit for your refund?  It's always been free and still is.  You just can't have the Turbo Tax fees deducted from your refund.

@Lina0283    Did you mistakenly prepare a Form 1040X just to correct a rejected return?  If so, you should not have used "amend" as a way to fix that rejected return.   Did you understand what was said to you regarding "amending?"    If your 2023 e-file was rejected, using or clicking on the word "amend" was not the way to fix the return.  You do not prepare a Form 1040X to just fix a rejected return.    You simply make the correction to the original return and try to e-file it again within the filing period for the return.   If you did not do that by end of October 2024, you cannot e-file it.   It has to be mailed.   A "fixed" original return is not the same as an amended return on a Form 1040X.   If you send in a Form 1040X just for a missing IP PIN, the IRS is going to send the return back to you and ask you for your original return.  They will not process a 1040X if they did not receive an original Form 1040 from you.

What on gods green earth makes you think we haven’t called customer support, girl come on.  all 381 of us now, did not “mistakenly choose the wrong choice”. EVERY SINGLE TURBO FILER ACCEPTED BEFORE 1/21 DID NOT MAKE A MISTAKE, girl. COME on.  it is the EXACT WORD FOR WORD even to the DOLLAR AMOUNT CHARGED the exact same order details for 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021 and 2020, even with then amendment in 2020, STILL the same. Received the advance EVERY YEAR minutes within acceptance.  WebBank already confirmed to us that turbo tax DID NOT SUBMIT ANY REFUND ADVANCES TO THEM PRIOR TO 1/21!  TurboTax lied.
I didn’t realize its deductible would be eliminated. I’m very disappointed and may cease to be a turbo tax customer after this year.
I don't think they partner with TurboTax, so you may not get a legit copy.
@RogerD1   What is the "so what" answering this question?  Is it timing to calculate quarterly taxes (vs. taking a one time RMD distribution every Dec and only owing eat'd taxes once in Jan)
I got the same email and it still says that the section on home energy credits is "available soon". They need to get their act together.

In certain cases, there may be confusion about what type of payment method was selected when filing the tax return.  There is an option called Refund Advance Loan. And there is an option where the customer pays their TurboTax using the refund money - Refund Transfer. And these two are often confused.    To make sure there is no confusion, please print out your tax return to PDF and take a look at the letters that come with the return. The information will include the processing agreement and any relevant details regarding the payment method you selected (Refund Transfer or Refund Advance).  Another way to confirm it is to give the Customer Service a call. After verifying your identity, they will be able to give you a certain answer.  Once the customer care confirms that you had indeed requested a Refund Advance, please ask them to investigate. If you selected Refund Transfer, then the IRS states that it processes tax refunds within 21 days. If your return was accepted on 01/15/26, then according to the IRS schedule, you should receive a refund around the first week of February.

MY RETURN IS IN PENDING—what does that mean?   You will not get any information from the IRS refund site while your return is in pending.  The IRS does not have your return yet.   Did you e-file?  Did you click that big orange button that said “Transmit my returns now?”  If so, your return is now in “pending” on a server.  Do not try to change anything while your return is in pending. On January  26  the IRS will begin to accept/reject e-files.  The IRS accepts a FEW returns in test batches ahead of January 26—-but that is very random.   Watch your emails—including your spam folder—for the notice about whether your e-file has been accepted or rejected.  If your return is rejected you will be able to make corrections before re-filing.   If the return you e-filed is accepted you will have to wait until it has been fully processed and then amend it to fix any mistakes or omissions.  It has been taking the IRS four to six months—sometimes longer—to process amended returns.   If you e-filed your state return there will be another email later that tells you if the state was accepted or rejected.   WARNING:   Do not try to change anything on your return while it is pending.   https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/irs-announces-first-day-of-2026-filing-season-online-tools-and-
