You can switch to a Desktop version by purchasing the Desktop product of your choice and installing it. See this help article. There will be a step where you are given the option to choose Continue from TurboTax Online.   Submitting payment reflects your satisfaction with TurboTax Online preparation of your taxes, and is generally non-refundable. However, see this help article for more information about the situations in which you can apply for a refund of TurboTax Online and how to apply.   If the entries you are made in response to the Review instructions resulted in adding income or removing deductions and credits, then it would make sense for the tax estimate to increase.   If you decide to stay with Online and need to review the calculations:   Detailed calculation information in TurboTax Online can be found by navigating to Tax Tools > Tools > View Tax Summary > Preview My 1040 to access the Form 1040 Worksheet. This worksheet, specifically the Tax Smart Worksheet located between lines 15 and 16, provides the in-depth, step-by-step calculations for your tax liability.    If you decide you wish to contact Support, see this help article for instructions on how to contact TurboTax customer support depending on which product you are using.
I did the same and was told e-filing was closed since 2025 October. I can click on File button but the e-file version is the original tax form instead of the amendment doc 1040-X

My husband is the executor and 1 of 2 beneficiaries. His sibling is the other beneficiary. Only other income is $100 on estates tax ID and $1500 of 2024 property tax refund received in 2025 from the state - the $1500 was on the deceased social security #. I'm assuming that the $1500 goes on the eatates tax return since deceased tax return was marked final in 2024. Each person's K-1 will reflect 50% of what is on 1041 for 2025.

Your own self employed health insurance is not a business expense.   You can only deduct insurance you pay for your employees on Schedule C .   You get to deduct your own insurance on Schedule 1, up to your Net Profit.   The amount over your Net Profit or if you have a Net Loss goes on Schedule A as an itemized deduction with your other medical expenses.

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.  “21 days”  is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.      First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:  https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/   Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.     You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2025 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:    https://www.irs.gov/refunds   To track your state refund:     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_US_en_US?uid=lt447ebr   If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/refunds-take-longer-others/L14YlqFrH_US_en_US?uid=lexdr7zh . https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/irs-refund-taking-longer-21-days/L2vRAJbdU_US_en_US?uid=lexe7lst         If you are getting earned income credit on line 27 or additional child tax credit on line 28 You are subject to the delay required by the PATH act.  Do not expect your refund before early March   https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/internal-revenue-service/federal-refunds-delayed-due-path-act/L5jnQJsBi_US_en_US   Note:  “Accepted” is not the same as “approved”.  TurboTax tells you the e-file was accepted if the IRS deems that there is enough information on the return for them to take it in for processing.   Only the IRS can approve of the refund, which is a later stage of processing.  If the IRS approves your refund they will provide a date for the refund to be issued.   FROM THE IRS WHERE’S MY REFUND SITE: https://www.irs.gov/wheres-my-refund How it works Where's My Refund shows your refund status: Return Received – We received your return and are processing it. Refund Approved – We approved your refund and are preparing to issue it by the date shown. Refund Sent – We sent the refund to your bank or to you in the mail. It may take 5 days for it to show in your bank account or several weeks for your check to arrive in the mail.

I'm just wondering why it appears so little last year. Your refund is not related to the amount of your income.   You didn't say exactly when you moved to the U.S., or what your immigration status is. Your situation could be much more complicated than you initially indicated. It may be too complicated for us to deal with here, especially if you were a dual-status alien in 2024.

When doing my GA state taxes, I entered the amount for the QEE credit as an estimated tax payment instead of a federal tax deduction.  However, I see in the Easy Step view of my GA state taxes that I have not only an Education Expense Credit but also a Business and Individual Credit and a Georgia Estimated Payment all of the same amount.  I read another thread that I can confirm that there is not a double credit with the Education Expense and Business and Individual Credit by checking Form 500 and I do see that the amount is not doubled. How do I check that the Georgia Estimated Payment is also not credited in addition to the Education Expense credit?

If you paid for Early Tax Refund:   Your federal tax refund will be deposited to your selected bank account 5 days before the refund settlement date provided by the IRS (the date your refund would have arrived if sent from the IRS directly).    The receipt of your refund 5 Days Early is subject to IRS submitting refund information to us at least 5 days before the refund settlement date. IRS does not always provide refund settlement information 5 days early.    You will not be eligible to receive your refund 5 Days Early if (1) you take a Refund Advance loan, (2) IRS delays payment of your refund, or (3) your bank’s policies do not allow for same-day payment processing. The 5 Days Early fee will be deducted directly from your refund prior to being deposited to your bank account. If your refund cannot be delivered 5 Days Early, you will not be charged the 5 Days Early fee. 5 Days Early program may change or be discontinued at any time.   The easiest way to check a refund's status is by using Where's My Refund? on IRS.gov or the IRS2Go app.   Many factors can affect refund timing after the IRS receives a tax return. Although the IRS issues most refunds in less than 21 days, the IRS cautions taxpayers not to rely on receiving a refund by a certain date, especially when making major purchases or paying bills. Some returns may require additional review and may take longer.   Under the federal Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act, the IRS cannot issue Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) refunds before mid-February. Where's My Refund? should show an updated status by February 22 for most early EITC/ACTC filers.    The IRS expects most EITC/ACTC related refunds to be available in taxpayer bank accounts or on debit cards by March 3 if they chose direct deposit and there are no other issues with their tax return.

Joint is the filing status for a married couple filing together.   On a Joint return there is a primary taxpayer and a spouse.   The order of names doesn’t matter but the IRS wants you to be consistent each year.   How did you file last year?  Why do you want to change the order?   You should not change the order of names.  TurboTax will not allow you to remove the primary taxpayer on the return. And you should not try to change the order of names.  If you were listed as the spouse and want to be the primary taxpayer now or delete the primary person, you will need to start a new return by logging out and starting over with a new account and new user name and password.  You will not be able to transfer from the prior year.  If you try to change the order there are too many places to change it and you might miss some.

Maybe, the estate return is the same 1041 so if there is other income it would have the same effect.  If she is the executor and a beneficiary, she could have distributed the property to herself in which case you would report the sale on your personal income tax return and the effect would be the same- you would enter as Sale of Inherited Property and you would be able to use the loss against your capital gains and/or the $3,000 loss against other income.  Can you clarify if there were other beneficiaries?  @vyshen18
