"....my meaning balance..."?     What are you referring to?      Are you trying to check your refund status? First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:  https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/   Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.     You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:    https://www.irs.gov/refunds   To track your state refund:     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_US_en_US?uid=lt447ebr   If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/refunds-take-longer-others/L14YlqFrH_US_en_US?uid=lexdr7zh . https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/irs-refund-taking-longer-21-days/L2vRAJbdU_US_en_US?uid=lexe7lst     Or did you mean something else that we do not understand?

Online tax preparation and e-filing for 2024  returns is now permanently closed.  The system is in transition from 2024 to 2025.   Now it is too late to use online software or to e-file. If you have any changes/corrections at all to make to your 2024  return, you now have to complete it using desktop software, which you must download to a full PC or Mac  (not to a mobile device). Then you need to print, sign and mail it.      https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/printers-printing/finish-prior-year-return-started-turbotax-online/L9Oe4M90A_US_en_US?uid=m68tffpe   If you already paid for your online software you can ask customer support for a download of the desktop software.   They are available from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific time Monday - Friday   https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1899263-what-is-the-turbotax-phone-number       Very very soon the online system will go through a phase where your files will be temporarily locked up--so get your return filed asap.

TurboTax for 2025 has just been released. I installed it and it is still an Intel only binary. If Intuit does not continue on the macOS platform past when Apple discontinues Rosetta 2 (currently, Apple is saying Fall of 2027), I will be going to the Windows Version and will be using Parallels on the Mac to run Microsoft Windows. I will make sure I have access to the Windows download for 2024/2025/2026 and on. Parallels is an incredibly complex piece of software and they took 3 to 4 years of constant work before it was available after they had the Apple Silicon machine. The Apple Silicon binary has been available for 2 years now. In addition, they are working on a way to run Apple Intel Binaries, essentially a replacement for Rosetta 2 when it no longer works. (This doesn't mean they will actually have a product that does this, but they are currently working on it, according to customer service. That is, an earlier version of Intel macOS could run on a New Apple Silicon Mac as an app the way Windows can.)

. How much can we deposit into a HSA in 2025? I've read that the spouse not on Medicare can contribute the max family amount ($8550.00) as long as he maintains a family HDHP.   to your HSA 9/12 of (9550) because once on Medicare you are disqualified from making prorata HSA contributions that's 8550 + 1000 for being over 55. the six-month look-back rule does not apply because you are under 65   the balance of 3/12* 8550 would have to go into hubby's HSA. if he's over 55 at year end he can contribute an extra $1000         2. Can it be deposited into my family HSA? I've also read that anyone can deposit into my account, but I'm unclear if I have to be eligible when it is deposited or if we need to open a HSA sooner rather than later for hubby.   there is no such thing as a family HSA. Every HSA must be in the name of just one individual.      3. We’ll be opening a Self-Only HSA for my husband where he can contribute $4400 maximum in 2026.   as long as he has family coverage, is not covered by Medicare, and does not have any non-HDHP coverage (certain coverage like for dental or vision are ignored)  he can contribute the family loimit + 1000 if over 55 at year end   4. I'm aware that I can use HSA funds to pay for Medicare Parts A & D. Part B is paid from my SSDI benefit and instead of Part C I am opting for MediGap where my HSA cannot be used for premiums. HSA funds can still be used for qualifying medical expenses like deductibles and copayments.   5. Is there anything else I'm overlooking?

I received an email today (11/05/25) from Intuit stating: TURBOTAX DESKTOP ADVANTAGE DELUXE TAX YEAR 2025 WIN DOWNLOAD (cost is $70.00).   I have Windows 10 and had previously received emails from Turbo tax that I had to upgrade to Windows 11 or use their online service to do my tax returns for 2025.  Is this email for real (i.e., Turbo tax changed their mind) or is the email a scam?   Signed: Confused.

I have not gotten the 2025 app so i don't know if there will be issues with installing 2025. a screwup at Turbotax's end

I started on Medicare 10/1/2025 at 49 (*edited from 59) because of SSDI I have been on my husband's qualified HDHP through his employer and am keeping that coverage through the end of the year as I've met the OOP max I am the account holder of a family HSA where we have been putting 100% of our annual contributions at the end of each year up to the family limit 1. If you sold one or more itme at a gain, you have taxable income. Since the loss on other items is not allowed, that can't offset your gain.   @VivanRuhan    PS it would be easier not to amend at all since IRS is not very concerned about this untill the new 1099- form coumes into use.

so it may be necessary to enter business mileage as 0 and also total mileage. it it ill no longer be used in the rental activity, the IRS may require recapture of depreciation taken in prior years upon conversion to personal use. This means that any excess depreciation must be included in gross income for the taxable year of conversion.
