An 846 is your refund code. Which means that your tax refund has been approved and is officially scheduled for release by that day.   You may want to keep monitoring your refund directly in the IRS website: Where's my Refund

Also my friend from Michigan done it after me and she got the refund. Also I couldn't find my MI-1040, it is not in my documents on Turbotax. You can't go by when someone else gets their refund.  It's all unpredictable and variable.   To get a copy of your 2025 return PDF which should include both the Federal and State returns, log in to Online TurboTax,  and at the Tax Home scroll down to "Your Tax Returns & Documents."  Expand that section and choose tax year 2025, and you should be able to download/view the return PDF.  When viewing the PDF, the state return is near the end.   You should be able to get it there.  If for some reason you can't, we can tell you another way to get the PDF, but it's more complicated.   Or phone the Michigan Treasury eServices and just ask them about your refund.  If they can identify you on the phone, they will likely tell you its status. https://www.michigan.gov/taxes/helpcenter/contact-us Use the phone number shown there for "Individual Income Tax Users."

Acorns, for example, is missing and Merrill just got added last week. You might want to give it a week or two and see what happens."   I wrote and posted the above about 2 weeks ago so I was correct and you wasted your time contacting the "Office of President of Intuit". Bottom line is I was proven correct and you are a sick individual - get help.

If your name was on it and it was left to you I wouldn't put it on a 1041 at all.  It should continue to be put on your form 1040 as it has been all along.   In fact, you should consult your attorney about filing a 1041 at all.  If your spouse has passed and left everything to you then there shouldn't be a need for an estate return.  Everything should pass smoothly to you.

Wisconsin does not conform to the Federal enhanced senior deduction. You should add it back to the Wisconsin return on Schedule AD.   Wisconsin has an additional personal exemption deduction of $250 for persons aged 65 or older on December 31, 2025. See this Wisconsin Revenue document..
I should be getting back $1845, but as I am filing the amendment, it is saying I will only get $600. I did not file for any other efficiency tax credits, so why am I not getting the 30% up to $2000?
Thanks DaveF1006.   Any insights on why this is ordinary income given that the policy lasted 20 years. Any IRS resources I can refer to? And where should i report this income in Turbo tax? Thanks... See more...

It depends.  If the 1099-DIV is part of a 1099 composite reporting package there is typically a section towards the back that lists all of the dividends paid and the type (i.e. Oridinary, 199A, Foreign, etc.).  This will include the country if applicable.  If the dividends are from a mutual fund the country is not listed. When reporting foreign dividends from a mutual fund you should select "RIC" (Regulated Investment Company) from the drop down list of countries.

OK guys, CLOSE THIS ONE OUT. Yes, after exhaustively testing everything possible, it was a (somehow) corrupted TurboTax. And I will congratulate Mary - TurboTax Rep who stuck with me for nearly 2 hours in resolving this problem. We finally connected via sharing screens (problem here, see below) and after Mary finally seeing and believing what was going on - we finally decided to Uninstall my current copy of TurboTax 2025 Desktop and re-download it - and that fixed everything. However, let me note a couple of things: 1)  The corruption of TurboTax 2025 was so bad (convoluted) that it spilled over into my 2 old TurboTax 2023 & 2024 - the icons still being on my desktop screen.  I would have bet the problem was not a TurboTax 2025 problem (I suspected TurboTax itself) BECAUSE just before I had my problems, I had accidentally clicked on the TurboTax 2023 icon, and TurboTax 2023 loaded and was even updated - everything working perfectly.  I Exited the TurboTax 2023 immediately after recognizing my error - and immediately afterwards TurboTax 2025 would not load, nor going back to TurboTax 2023, it would not load either (nor would TurboTax 2024). Anyway, the re-install of TurboTax 2025 fixed them all - truly baffling. 2)  Kind of a minor problem in sharing screens with TurboTax.  I have 3 monitors and when I could see the Rep cursor, she could not see my screen - and vice versa.  I had to be on a particular screen for her to see what was going on, on my screen - and was at kind of a loss when she was saying, "look over here".  Anyway, just thought I would throw that comment in. 3)  Also, the Shift/Enter (or whatever) on my Windows 11 did not generate a screen sharing code, but Mary sent me an email with a link I could use. Again, I want to thank TurboTax support for providing me with the support I needed (2 hours is outstanding) to get this problem resolved. ron is shawnee    (a 20+ year TurboTax user)

IS MY 2024 STATE OR LOCAL REFUND TAXABLE?   If you used standard deduction for your 2024 tax return, you do not have to enter a state or local tax refund you received in 2025.   If you itemized deductions then your state or local refund that you claimed on the 2024 return----and received in 2025---must be entered as taxable income on your 2025 return.  If you  are not sure if you itemized for 2024, look at your 2024 Form 1040 line 12.   Do you see the standard deduction amount or something else?       2024 STANDARD DEDUCTION AMOUNTS SINGLE $14,600    (65 or older/legally blind + $1950) MARRIED FILING SEPARATELY            $14,600    (65 or older/legally blind + $1550) MARRIED FILING JOINTLY $29,200    (65 or older/legally blind + $1550) HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD $21,900    (65 or older/legally blind + $1950)     If you need to enter the state or local refund — go to Federal>Wages & Income>1099-Misc and Other Common Income>State and Local Tax Refunds on Form 1099G
