The list of codes you're looking for - Subtraction Modifications - starts on page 5 of this document (linked to instructions page); if you're preparing your personal tax return, you want to look at the column IT-201 to see which codes in the first column are applicable to your tax return (or the Nonresident column). Keep scrolling down because there are multiple pages of subtraction mods.
Additional note-
IT-203 column for Nonresident return
IT-204 column for Partnership return
IT-205 column for Estate/Trust return

Sounds like something got stuck. You can try these things:
Log Out Completely: Before doing anything else, click Sign Out in the TurboTax menu.
Clear Cache and Cookies: This removes old, "corrupted" data that might be confusing the website.
Use an Incognito (Private) Window: This is the most effective "quick fix" because it launches the browser without any saved history or extensions (like AdBlockers) that often interfere with tax forms.
Check Pop-up Blockers: TurboTax often opens forms (like the 1099 PDF) or payment windows in a separate pop-up. Look at the right side of your address bar for a small icon with a "red X"—click it and select "Always allow pop-ups from Intuit."
Restart the Browser: Close all open windows of your browser entirely and then reopen it.
Most TurboTax errors happen because the browser is trying to use an old "session" from a previous visit. By clearing the cache or using Incognito mode, you force the browser to establish a brand-new, secure connection with the Intuit servers.

Did you try using the calculations that @BillM223 references above? Those are pretty complicated but they do seem to be a good way to find the amount TurboTax is calculating.

If what you originally entered is correct, you won't be able to e-file. There's probably a data mismatch at the government, a dependent that's already been claimed, or some other situation beyond your control that prevents your return from being e-filed. In this case, your only option would be to print and mail in your return. This article will give you instruction on how to print and mail your return.

Yes, you should re-enter your credit card information to resubmit your tax return if it was rejected, but you likely do not need to worry about being double-charged.
The First Payment Usually Drops Off: When a tax return is rejected by the IRS/State, the initial payment is typically not processed or settled, even if it appears as 'pending' on your credit card statement.
Re-submission Requires New Payment Authorization: When you fix the errors and re-file, TurboTax treats it as a new submission and will ask for payment information again to process the filing.
If necessary keep this information should you need it later to contact us, even though it would be unlikely.

The IRS/States is currently processing a high volume of e-filed returns, so it can take several days for your payments to go through. The IRS/States may debit the payment after the deadline. Also, it can take the banks another few days to post the debit to your account. As long as you filed you return or extension on or before April 15, 2026, and you selected April 15, 2026, or earlier as your payment date, you won't get penalized for late payment. If you don't see the debit in your bank account 7–10 days after their return has been accepted, call the IRS e-file Payment Services at 888-353-4537 or contact your state tax agency.
