You can deduct bariatric vitamins if they are specifically recommended by your doctor as treatment for your medical condition. If you take them to maintain your general health, they are not deductible. The IRS allows deductions for medical expenses that exceed 7.5% of your adjusted gross income (AGI). To qualify, the vitamins must be recommended by a medical practitioner as treatment for a specific medical condition diagnosed by a physician

Your reinvested Canadian Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) distributions are generally reported on Form 1040, Line 5a and 5b (as pension/annuity income) and on Form 1116 to claim foreign tax credits. The IRS treats the distribution as a taxable withdrawal even if it is reivested in Canada.
Use the "Canadian Registered pension" section in TurboTax to enter the income and foreign taxes paid. This is found under Wages & Income, Retirement Plans And Social Security Canadian Registered Pension Income. Select Start to the right of Canadian registered Pension Income.
Follow the TurboTax screens and answer any follow-up questions to properly report your Canadian Registered Retirement Savings Plan.
Please return to Community if you have any additional information or questions and we would be happy to help.

I figured it out. I was not multiplying the OT rate by the overtime hours. Then it worked out to about 258 refund, not the best but better than nothing.

Hello, I received 2 1095-A forms. I would like some clarification on the proper way to file them. Form 1: Me and my wife are listed as recipients. My wife is listed as the covered individual. Form 2: Me and my wife are listed as recipients. My 25 year old daughter is listed as the covered individual with a different policy number. I read that I have to enter both forms into my tax return and set the allocation. Would I need to input the allocation for both forms or just the Form 2 that has my daughter listed. I'm planning to enter 100% allocation to us. Turbotax asks "Did you share this policy with another taxpayer who is not included in this tax return" for each form. I was only going to put "Yes" for Form 2. Does my daughter also need to file the 1095-A separately in her own tax return? She is a student and doesn't have any income so she wasn't planning to file a return this year. Would she need to file just for this?
