You will need to contact the IRS for information. It might be easiest to set up an account with them.   IRS Individual Online Account   Taxpayers with a Social Security number or an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number can create or access their IRS Individual Online Account to get information they need to file their return. With an IRS Individual Online Account, people can: View balance owed, payment history and schedule payments. Cancel scheduled payments. Get transcripts. View or create payment plans. See digital copies of some IRS notices. View key data from their most recently filed tax return, including adjusted gross income. Validate bank accounts and save multiple accounts, eliminating the need to re-enter bank account information every time they make a payment. View, approve and electronically sign power of attorney and tax information authorizations from their tax professional.

The IRS/States is currently processing a high volume of e-filed returns, so it can take several days for your payments to go through.  The IRS/States may debit the payment after the deadline. Also, it can take the banks another few days to post the debit to your account. As long as you filed you return or extension on or before April 15, 2026, and you selected April 15, 2026, or earlier as your payment date, you won't get penalized for late payment. If you don't see the debit in your bank account 7–10 days after their return has been accepted,  call the IRS e-file Payment Services at 888-353-4537 or contact your state tax agency.   How do I contact my state Department of Revenue?

Do you have your new IP Pin to use for 2026? This number changes every year.     You can get an Identity Protection pin here, or if you lost your IP PIN, you can go here to Retrieve IP PIN.    Here are two ways to navigate to the section to enter the 6 digit IP PIN:     Log in and open your return ("Take me to my return")  Once the return is open, then go to the Federal Taxes tab.  Subtab Other Tax Situations  Scroll down to Other Return Info.  Choose Identity Protection PIN and Start (or Revisit.)  Next screen asks:  "Did you or any of your dependents get an IP PIN from the IRS for this year's taxes?"  Or another way:  Open your return if not already open.  ("Take me to my return.")  Once the return is open, click at the top on MY ACCOUNT, then choose TOOLS.  In the Tools window choose TOPIC SEARCH.  Enter IP PIN without quotes.  In the selection list highlight IP PIN and click GO.  Next screen asks:  "Did you or any of your dependents get an IP PIN from the IRS for this year's taxes?"      Here's how you can fix a reject:  Sign in to your account and select the Fix my return button. Follow any “fix it” instructions to update the information causing the rejection.    Note: Not all rejections will have explicit guides to fix the information. You’ll need to navigate to the program area to address the cause of the rejection.    Time-saving Tip: If what you originally entered is correct, you won't be able to e-file. There's probably a data mismatch at the government, a dependent that's already been claimed, or some other situation beyond your control that prevents your return from being e-filed. In this case, your only option would be to print and mail in your return. This article will give you instruction on how to print and mail your return.    Additional reject instruction here.
It would be helpful if you describe the issue you are having.

Premier is a version of desktop download software that you download to your own hard drive---so if you have Premier you can use desktop software to create"scenarios" to try out.   If you mean you used online ---- the version you mean is called Premium---- and no, you cannot use the account you used to prepare an online return to test out various scenarios or you will destroy your tax return.      First----distinguish whether you have desktop or if you used online.   You must not use the same online account for "dummy" situations that you used for your own tax return.    If you want to play around with online, you will have to create a "dummy" account online for that.

we are going through this exact same thing right now $12,000 worth of floating in limbo. it’s absolutely ridiculous. I can’t believe how many people are going to the same exact thing as us right now I’ve called the IRS multiple times. You can look in your 2024 account to see if it shows that you filed a state return.    If it turns out that for some reason you did not file the state return or that it was rejected, you can still file it, but it has to be filed by mail.   If there is a prepared ---but  unfiled--- state return in your account, then print it, sign it and mail it in to the state.   If you did not prepare a state return at all, then you can use the 2024 desktop download on a full PC or Mac to prepare it, or you can go to the state's website to see if you can get the forms to prepare it on your own.  You will be able to access the 2024 return you started by using the exact same account and user ID that you used when you started it.   But you can no longer use online software for any further changes.       Start a 2025  return online and enter some personal information  so that the menu on the left opens up and lets you access your past year returns.   Online tax preparation and e-filing for 2024  returns is now permanently closed.    Now it is too late to use online software or to e-file. If you have any changes/corrections at all to make to your 2024 return, you now have to complete it using desktop software, which you must download to a full PC or Mac  (not to a mobile device). Then you need to print, sign and mail it.   https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/printers-printing/finish-prior-year-return-started-turbotax-online/L9Oe4M90A_US_en_US?uid=m68tffpe   If you already paid for your online software you can ask customer support for a download of the desktop software.   They are available from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Pacific time   https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1899263-what-is-the-turbotax-phone-number     If you are getting a refund, there is no penalty for filing late.  If you owe tax due, then file and pay the amount due as shown on the Form 1040, but expect a bill later from the IRS for the penalty and interest you will owe.  Only the IRS will calculate this—TurboTax will not calculate it.     When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.   Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses.  Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.       https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/state-taxes/contact-state-department-revenue/L9qVToi02_US_en_US?uid=m6e06um0

Yes, you must respond to the California Franchise Tax Board Compliance Bureau letter directly. TurboTax will not call on your behalf and receives no information from the IRS or state after you file your return. It is a good idea to verify the letter by logging into your account here or calling 800-852-5711 before sending any requested documentation.    If you purchased Audit Defense, you may be able to get help with the letter you received.
