Same for me, only no imports are working, well maybe 2 out of 10 worked.  I'm so sick of Turbo Tax.  This should be easy.  They screwed something up royally this year.

As beneficiary, the responsibility to complete your father's RMD for 2024 moved to you, so it became part of your RMD.  When TurboTax asks how much was required to be taken as RMD, simply enter the entire amount distributed and indicate that the entire amount applied to the RMD.  Do not try to show them separately, there is no need to do so.   As long as the year-of-death RMD is completed by the end of the following year, as was done in this case, there is no need to file a Form 5329 to report that the year-of-death RMD was taken late and request a waiver of the excess-accumulation penalty for that portion.  The waiver is automatic under these circumstances.
I have the same problem!

While a single W-2 should fit the Free Edition, items like  Student loan interest, or  Specific credits like EITC, or Child Tax Credits can cause this.

It is possible that Form 8853 caused the error you received regarding a Form 1095-A, if you did not have Marketplace insurance.     TurboTax generates Form 8853 (for Archer MSAs and Long-Term Care Insurance Contracts) when you report contributions to or distributions from an Archer MSA, a Medicare Advantage MSA, or receive payments from a long-term care insurance contract. It is primarily triggered by entering a Form 1099-SA or Form 1099-LTC. If this is not the case you should not add Form 8853 unless it applies.   You can get to the questions in Turbo Tax that generate Form 8853 as follows:   Click on Search at the top right of your TurboTax screen. Type form 8853 in the search box and enter. Click on the link that says Jump to form 8853 Your screen will say Select the health related accounts you had in 2025. Make your selection and Continue. Answer all of the follow-up screens Make sure you answered "No" to the question "Do you need to report any1095-A's?" If there is a Form 1095-A or 8962 in your return, delete those forms.   You can get back to those screens in TurboTax to review them as follows: Click on "Search" at the top left of your TurboTax screen. Type "Form 1095-A" in the search box Click on the link that says "Jump to Form 1095-A" This will take you to the screen that says, "Do you need to report any Forms 1095-A's?" Make sure this is answered "No" Answer the follow-up screens to make sure they are correct To delete Form(s) 1095-A or 8962 if they are in your return, if you are using TurboTax Online: In your left panel of your TurboTax screen click on "Tax Tools" And then Click on "Tools" Click on "Delete a Form" Scroll through your list of Forms Click the garbage can next to "Form 1095-A or Form 8962" if you have one listed. Under Alabama’s Retirement Exclusion, even if only one spouse has a qualified retirement income distribution, if both are over 65 and married filing jointly, Alabama allows each spouse to claim the $6,000 per-person exclusion for a total of $12,000 (See Alabama sch RS) as long as it does not exceed the total taxable income (which is does not).  However, I can't seem to correct the form.    Any help out there for this software issue, please?

Is this royalty income from gas leases or do you have a working interest? For royalty lease income, be sure you entered the amount in Box 2 of Form 1099-MISC (Royalties). When you enter Box 2, in most cases you should not need to enter the ownership percentage, just the address. Your entries here are reported on Schedule E.   However, if Form 1099-MISC reports income that is shared with other beneficiaries, you will need to know the percentage of the total inherited property that belongs to you. This doesn't refer to the ownership of the gas lease, just your portion of the estate.   Working Interest income is reported on Schedule C and is taxed as self-employment. In this case, you will need to know your ownership percentage and enter much more information.   See this article for more help: How do I enter a 1099-MISC for royalty income?

You don't change it. It's correct. The Medicare Part B premium is a medical expense. If you have enough other itemized deductions to exceed your standard deduction, the Medicare Part B premium is included in your medical expenses. If you take the standard deduction it doesn't matter that the Medicare premium is a "potential itemized deduction." Any potential itemized deductions won't be shown on your tax return if you take the standard deduction.

If your 1099-B information matches but TurboTax won't accept it when you continue, try these steps: 1. Delete the Imported 1099-B: Go to Federal, then Wages & Income, then Investments and Savings. Select Update next to your 1099-B entry and delete the imported form using the trash icon. 2. Re-import the Form: After deletion, select Revisit next to 1099-B and re-import your data using your financial institution's sign-in credentials. 3. Manually Enter Data: If re-importing still causes issues, choose to manually enter your 1099-B details instead of importing. This process helps fix errors caused by import glitches or incorrect cost basis adjustments.

Thanks for your suggestion, checking the box ‘I had different plan types at different times of the year’ and manually go through each month to select the same Family Plan does the trick. Previously, I had chosen 'I had family plan coverage for the entire year' (or such similar language) that auto populated the individual months with Family Plan. I guess this code path is buggy and causes the e-filing to be rejected.

@Bill223 , I used this HSA reset on my account because the efile submitted kept being rejected for "HSA, MSA Contributions." I was using TT for Windows.  I could not find any mistakes and TT kept saying the reviews for Fed and State were OK to submit.  I knew I was onto something while redoing the HSA Step-by-Step and it stopped asking me about what kind of HDHP I had two years ago in 2024. All the other times I stepped through before the HSA reset, TT kept bringing that 2024 part up. Currently my status is showing pending after more than an hour of being submitted, but before the HSA reset, the efile was rejected in less than 10 minutes.
