I bit the bullet and decided to stick with turbotax this year, even after leadership has made it much more difficult by discontinuing itsdeductible.  I have been using Deductit, which generates a TXT file to import.  I made 7 donations trips to Goodwill throughout the year.  No single item was valued at more than $500, but combined several of the donations trips exceeded $500.  When importing I am prompted by the Needs Review flag.  When reviewing it is as if Turbo Tax is treating the combined donation as a single item donation and is asking for value, when I acquired, etc.  Am I doing something wrong?  Do I need to add each clothing type separately?  I am not doing anything different than in years past, just trying to navigate this new and more complicated process.
It's probably not important for dependents under 19.   They have to be full time student between 19 and 24 to qualify as a dependent.
On the Federal Return Turbo Tax requires a value in the W-2 box 18 (local wages, tips, etc.) but it is blank on my W-2 as it should be as my Wages are entered in box 16 under State wages, tips, etc.

How to find the AGI. https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/agi/help/how-do-i-find-last-year-s-agi/01/25947 If you didn't file 2024 or filed it later in the year or mailed it, then try entering 0 for the AGI. If that doesn't work you will have to print and mail your return. Or request a transcript from the IRS https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript
You have to have the 1099Div for dividends.  What draws?   What did you take "draws" from?
I just want to say that this year TT is so buggy?! It crashed 3 times on me and I couldn't find any link to complain, which was also craxy ;-(
I have added up the "draws" for 2025 and cannot see where to add them on this return.

See IRS publ 590A for everything about IRA contributions.   You can only contribute up to the amount of your W2 wages or a Net Profit on Schedule C reduced by the deductible part of your self-employment taxes. See IRS pub 590A page 6 for Who can open an IRA and What is Compensation. For 2025, the IRA contribution limit remains $7,000 ($8,000 for individuals age 50 or older). See IRS pub 590A See top of page 2 for Modified AGI limits https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p590a.pdf   Before filing you can preview the 1040 or print the whole return. You have to pay any fees first before you can see all the forms, etc. https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/accessing/help/how-do-i-preview-my-turbotax-online-return-before-filing/00/26160
Whenever I enter an amount in Claim of right repayment over $3,000 the Turbotax software is automatically adding this $ amount to Unemployment and Paid Family Leave Form 1099-G.

Thank you for explaining why a Form 1116 isn't generated by the software; however, I should be able to still submit a Form 1116 to carry forward my foreign tax credits for future use, correct? And TurboTax doesn't seem to allow me to do that. For clarity, I had the same situation in 2024 and the 2024 version of the TurboTax software did provide a Form 1116 anyways. This appears to be known bug with the 2025 version of TurboTax, which is unfortunate.
I already submitted my return and now I'm wondering if I should amend it. I don't know how to trigger that check box. It was never asked when I filed online.

I have received a final K-1 from an Estate. Box 11 B is checked and includes several thousand dollars that the fiduciary states is an Other Miscellaneous Deduction - Not Subject to 2% limitation. When I enter the information on the K-1 section of EasyStep, I get a warning that I need to enter the amount(s) from the statement in the corresponding topic in TurboTax.   There is a section in the Misc Dedns worksheet (Line 28) that allows for "Expenses related to portfolio income from Schedule(s) K-1", but I can't find any way to populate that entry without using Override. Of course, if you use Override, then TurboTax flags it as an error and won't let you electronically file your taxes. I have tried to enter the amounts under "Retirement Investments - Other Investment Expenses" and "Other Deductible Expenses" and in both cases, it just crosswalks it to "Miscellaneous Expenses - Subject to 2% Limitation".   Is there a place to enter it so that it flows into the Misc Dedns worksheet, Line 28"Expenses related to portfolio income from Schedule(s) K-1" like it is supposed to and thus onto Line 16 of the Schedule A?
I have done everything it suggests and still get error message 70001.  I have cleared cache and cookies.  Running 2025 as administrator, shut down multiple times.    Now what
What is your question?   Go to My Info and see if you picked Single not Married.
