When I checked out it said it was charging me $119. If I wanted to pay with my refund there would be a forty dollar fee. I chose to pay with CC to avoid that. It never showed a different amount until I got the confirmation email "thank you for your $159 payment"   Excuse me what?  Shady shady shady

The final amount on form 5695 on the federal return flows to line 5a on Schedule 3 (1040) as a nonrefundable credit. It is not part of the federal Schedule A, which is Itemized Deductions. Credits don't belong on Schedule A.   This being the case, the 25C credit does not affect Arizona income. However, if you see some late breaking news, please let us know about it.

DID YOU E-FILE?   Did you e-file?   Did you go through all three steps of the FILE section and click a big orange button that said “Transmit my returns now?”     When you e-file your return you will get two emails from TurboTax.  The first one will say your return has been transmitted; the second one will tell you the IRS has accepted  or rejected your federal e-file.  If you filed a state return, there will be a third email (usually a day or two later) that tells you if the state e-file was accepted or rejected.   Check your e-file status:   https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/    What does it say in your account?  Does it show that the return was accepted?   Or does it say something else---like "rejected," "printed," or "ready to mail?”   If you discover or realize that your e-file was rejected, or just never filed, you will need to print it, sign and date it in ink, and file it by mail now, since e-filing is closed for returns for tax year 2024.     If the return was accepted, what does the IRS refund site say?   You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:    https://www.irs.gov/refunds

My wife and I are both over 70.  Maryland has a Pension exclusion for those over 65 which effectively subtracts an adjusted amount from social security and other work pensions.  Turbo Tax for Maryland has a line entry for "Maryland Pension Exclusion" but the first question is "Are you retired and did you receive retirement income attributable to your service as a correction officer, law enforcement officer, or fire ...".  Now our answer to this question is "no."  If you say "no" to this question Turbo Tax bumps you out of this section BUT the Maryland exclusion worksheet 13A is NOT only applicable to law enforcement and such pensions.   Some AIs now say that turbo tax does not include the Maryland Pension exclusion and it needs to be entered manually.  Turbo Tax's AI first said it includes the pension exemption but when questioned about MD 520 line 10a (which is the line for the amount of the exemption) their AI first stated that the entry was for some tax paid.  When called out on the error, the AI admitted it was wrong but continued to claim the Maryland exclusion is included.  I don't believe it.  Anyone else having difficulty with Turbo Tax's Maryland Pension Exemption?

if this is the question about market value of IRA as of 12/31/25 which does on Form 8606 Line 6 the guidance from IRS is to use your month-end brokerage statements not Form 5498 which is not typically available until May.  The on-screen guidance from Turbotax is misleading on this.   https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i8606.pdf

In TurboTax Desktop, in FORMS, Open Form 'Tax and Interest Worksheet'.  Scroll down to Line 1g, where you can delete the amount of Sales Tax.  Make sure the box below is checked for 'Greater Amount'.   In TurboTax Online, in the left-side menu, go to Deductions and scroll down the list to Sales Tax, (where you may see an amount) and choose EDIT.  Continue, and use the Trash Can Icon to Delete your State, and Continue and Delete any Major Purchases.  Back at the Deductions topics page, you should then see no amount next to Sales Tax and it will show 'Revisit'.   Remember that TurboTax may have calculated a Sales Tax amount for you based on IRS Tables, but the program uses whichever amount is highest (sales tax vs. state tax paid).   @RogerLi
Thanks but it’s not from self-employment.
Have you paid your fees?  You cannot print until you have paid your TurboTax fees.

@Joan2, how do you display the "data source" information?  When I place the cursor in a field on the Foreign Tax Credit Computation Worksheet ("1116 Comp Wks"), I do not see a "data source" option.   Thank you for your assistance.   P.S.:  I am using TurboTax Deluxe (desktop) on macOS.

MY RETURN IS UNDER REVIEW The IRS is getting more and more vigilant to prevent identity theft and fraud.   People who file very early in the season are sometimes scrutinized more.  Do not take it personally.   TurboTax does not get any information from the IRS after they accept your return, so no one at TT knows that your refund is delayed or why.  All you can do is wait for the IRS to finish processing your return.  Watch the refund site.  If the IRS wants more information from you they will request it. If they want you to verify your identity, you must follow the IRS’s instructions in order to do that.   In many cases they will send you a letter—and you will have to wait for that letter.

It is impossible to delete documents! TurboTax online is the most horrid piece of software I have ever used. The desktop version was great. Used it for years, now they screwed everyone and can't use it. How can you have an online feature to upload documents and not allow deletion? Can't even figure out how to delete a company where it is filing as sole and not an S corp and the documents are wrong.  how do I even delete my account here? If you can't delete a document, you can't possibly have a secure service.
