Land rent is typically reported on Schedule E (Form 1040) if you receive flat cash rent for farmland or pasture. If you materially participate in the farming operation (e.g., share-crop), it goes on Schedule F (Form 1040). If you receive crop/livestock shares without material participation, use Form 4835.
Steps to Delete Schedule F:
Online/Desktop: Select Tax Tools > Tools > Delete a form.
Locate Schedule F: Scroll down the list to find the Schedule F or related farming worksheets and select Delete.
Forms Mode (Desktop Only): Click on the Forms icon, select Schedule F, and click Delete Form at the bottom of the screen.

If your Box 2a is UNKNOWN, leave it blank when inputting your Form 1099-R information. This will automatically trigger TurboTax to ask, "Do you have info in Box 2a or Box 2b?" on the next screen.
Here, you will select "No" because you do not have an amount to input, then Continue.
From there, TurboTax will ask you additional questions to do the Simplified Method calculations.
By following the interview prompts, you will not need to do the calculations yourself.
To complete the questions successfully, you will need the amount from Box 9b of your Form 1099-R.
Note: If this box is empty, you will not need the Simplified Method, you would then report the full amount as taxable.
Also note: If your Form 1099-R is for a standard IRA distribution and not an annuity, you can bypass the annuity section questions by answering "No" to periodic payments in the Annuity information section, since they do not apply,

If you can't enter Form 1095-A for your dependent, make sure your dependent qualifies as a dependent and is claimed on your return. You can check your dependent information in the personal information section of TurboTax. If the policy is shared, use the option I shared this policy, in order to allocate your percentages. Make sure the total columns equal 100%.
Also, make sure there are no zeros in Columns A-C. Leave them blank instead.
Make sure your TurboTax program is fully updated. TurboTax Online automatically updates for new tax laws and other features. If you are using TurboTax Desktop, you can manually check for updates for your TurboTax program by clicking on "Online" in the black bar near the top of your screen and selecting "Check for Updates."

179 only applies to nonresidential real estate. SDA is also not vailable or if it is yoyou can electic out.
fordrpreciation purposes, it would seem the remodeling is part of the property, and thus you would use a 27.5 year life (residential real estate). in service date would be when the new lease starts.
