Go to FILE > New Tax Return. Click on STATE and download Idaho. Close TurboTax. Re-open TurboTax and select the file where you received the 190 error. See if this resolves your issue.

I verified the numbers and resubmitted but got the same result. Is it possible because of last years issue that the info isn't in the system? I can mail this in but how do i fix going forward? thanks EDIT NOTE 3/17/2026 at 6:58 PM Pacific. Scroll down and see my comment which follows this one first. You should NOT have to mail. This can probably be fixed so you can efile. Try using a 2024 AGI of 0 (zero) for the spouse. If that doesn't work, report back again, and post the rejection error code or message, and we may have another suggestion.

You should answer Yes. If the investment advisor used your funds to pay for the purchases, then you bought them. The advisor just facilitated the transaction.

Thanks RobertB4444. I could find the place where to annualize. However, it needs a lot of info in addition to annualizing the income and some times it is hard to get, specially the taxes, QBI, itemized deductions etc. While i could manage the rest, I am stuck with annualizing itemized deductions. On the form Schedule A Itemized deductions i see some numbers and i am not sure where they come from. Here are some where i am having an issue understanding the calculation: Section: Taxes you Paid Line 5a- State and Local taxes - it shows a number which is more than the state tax i paid but there may be other things hidden there. How is this number calculated? Line 5b - State and local real estate taxes- this is my property tax Line 5c- State and local personal property taxes. I am not sure where this number comes from. I have not entered any property tax on my cars yet. Would appreciate if you can help me decipher these numbers. thanks again,

It may take a couple of months before the IRS issues your refund--or maybe less. It can take up to nine weeks after verifying identity to get a refund. TurboTax gets no information from the IRS after you file your tax return. Only the IRS can give you any information. You can watch the IRS refund site to see what it shown there.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2025 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

Once you exit the business pages, TurboTax says Self-employed retirement deduction Using the maximum allowable contribution, you can defer a maximum of $24,701 to a 401(k) plan. But on another page TurboTax says Your retirement contributions Here are your self-employed retirement deductions using the maximum allowable contribution. Note: The maximum you can defer to all your 401(k) plans is $31,000, and you can put more into your plan as profit sharing. Bob Jane Individual 401(k) $25,902 $0 Amount contributed $25,902 $0 Maximum allowed to qualified plans $25,902 It is not clear why these numbers are different. How do you confirm what is the correct number. Maximum deduction where the last dollar reduces taxes. Not interested this year in extra deduction if the "extra" doesn't reduce taxes.

In regard to the 1099-NEC forms, was there any state withholding reported in Box 5 or an amount in Box 7? Is it a state with no state income tax?

The question to trigger Form 568 appears during California interview under Business Summary.
As you go through the CA state return in the Income section, look for the Business Summary page.
Click Edit beside your business name.
Click Done on the Asset Summary page.
On the next page that asks if your business is owned by a Single Member LLC, click Yes.
Click Continue on the next page.
Then, the next several screens are there for you to fill in details for Form 568. The first screen should be the only one with missing information. Scroll down the page until you see fields that are highlighted which need your input (they are pink on Windows versions of the program). As you scroll through the page, take a look at line 7. It should be filled in with $800.
Click Continue to progress through the rest of these screens. Then check the Forms Mode version of Form 568 to see if it looks correct.
