Sounds like something got stuck. You can try these things:
Log Out Completely: Before doing anything else, click Sign Out in the TurboTax menu.
Clear Cache and Cookies: This removes old, "corrupted" data that might be confusing the website.
Use an Incognito (Private) Window: This is the most effective "quick fix" because it launches the browser without any saved history or extensions (like AdBlockers) that often interfere with tax forms.
Check Pop-up Blockers: TurboTax often opens forms (like the 1099 PDF) or payment windows in a separate pop-up. Look at the right side of your address bar for a small icon with a "red X"—click it and select "Always allow pop-ups from Intuit."
Restart the Browser: Close all open windows of your browser entirely and then reopen it.
Most TurboTax errors happen because the browser is trying to use an old "session" from a previous visit. By clearing the cache or using Incognito mode, you force the browser to establish a brand-new, secure connection with the Intuit servers.

If you are referring IRS Form 3800 is used to calculate business credits. There is also a CA Form 3800, that is used to calculate tax for children's unearned income.
Regarding the PIN, when you file your return electronically, your signature is a personal identification number (PIN) that you select. You also need to include the AGI for your prior return.
Topic no. 255, Signing your return electronically

That return code says: We had an issue in the Ohio product for e-filing. The good news is that we have made the fix. All you need to do is come back on or after March 19th, revisit your TurboTax return, and obtain the latest software updates (Online products update automatically). Proceed through your state return and revisit the "Late payment and underpayment penalties" topic within "Other Situations". Verify the information as calculations may have changed due to the software update. Also Revisit the School District return if applicable. Once you have reviewed your state return, allow the program to run a final review to check for any errors. You may retransmit your return(s) at this time. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

No, you can't. You will have to amend your tax return to get back the $208. You will have to identify why your Chime tax return differs from your TurboTax prepared return.
To amend using TurboTax since you did not prepare your original return using TurboTax you will have to manually recreate your original filed return in the first. You have to enter all your original W-2s, 1099s, and forms to match the previously filed return exactly. Then initiate the amendment process, print, and mail the form. You will have to mail in this amended tax return.

What does this rejected return reason mean "This return cannot be filed at this time due to a processing error that will be corrected March 13, 2026. On or after this date, open the rejected return, review it for errors, and resubmit the return for electronic filing"? Is it a system error or an error that I made? What happens on or after 13 March - will the processing error have been corrected by then? This is very confusing.

I refiled mine this morning with an Electric Heat Pump and Gas Furnace ($2,600 credit). I manually selected "No" as you did on line 25a, and both Federal and State were finally accepted. I have the offline version of TT so I could manually enter it in the form.. Finally, Finally, Finally. TT is crap. I say this every year. Not sure why I continue with them.

He should his return:
To claim his daughter as a dependent
To claim the Educational Credit by entering all the information on the 1098 T.
In turn, your granddaughter will file her own return to:
To just report her W‑2 INFORMATION.
She will not enter 1098‑T to claim the educational credit.
When she records her information in the PERSONAL INFO section of her return, there is a checkbox she is to check indicating “Someone else can claim me as a dependent”.

TurboTax Free Edition is available for students if their tax situation is simple. This edition supports returns with only W-2 income, interest income, and basic credits like the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), Child Tax Credit, and student loan interest deduction. If students have more complex tax situations, such as itemized deductions, business income, or investment sales, they may need to upgrade to a paid version.

But just logging on is asking to be tracked, every website, every purchase, every click of the mouse regardless of the tax software you choose. If you had any information disclosed in any breach anywhere, your info is out there. spam e-mails a possible hint that your info is on the darkweb. security notices from the bank - same and the people doing this probably had the info for years. Practice security - change passwords...often develop good passwords, encrypt files, keep important files on removable encrypted drives and limit their use. Secure your email, this goes for messages you file, better yet, print the message save it to removable drive and shred the message. It doesn't matter the exposure now, it's best to assume your info is known and prepare for a breach.
