I agree completely gjoly.  This is the second year that TurboTax's answer was not to enter the 1099-Q form if you determine that the 529-to-Roth rollover is not taxable, with the quote from the form.  But TurboTax could easily be programmed to accept all 1099-Qs and then follow up with a questionnaire for TT to determine whether it is taxable.  I don't think too many TT users want to read the tax code, and we don't like ignoring 1099 forms either. I know ignoring the form gets us the right answer, but that's not what we buy TurboTax for.  As I suggested in another thread, if TT doesn't want to develop a questionnaire with logic to determine whether the distribution is taxable, at least allow the user to enter the form and indicate whether the distribution is taxable.

Because overriding it may flag an e-filing error, I would suggest switching to Step-by-Step mode (upper right hand corner), rather than entering it into the worksheet directly, and answering the interview questions under Wages & Income > Investments and savings > Add investments > Stocks, Bonds, Mutual Funds   I don't know all the different ways that you've tried entering these transactions, but in general, it's not recommended to enter everything in Forms mode (since the software is designed for the average user).

I am having the same problem. I used Turbo tax desktop to prepare my 2024 return and I am not prompted to import the data into my 2025 return which is also Turbo tax desktop. The .tax2024 document is on my computer. This normally happens automatically.  Please list step by step instruction on how to do this.  I use TurboTax because I can import from last year. Is there a bug in the program???

What type of Form 1099 as there are almost two dozen different types?  1099-R, 1099-S, 1099-B, 1099-MISC, 1099-NEC, etc.

Yes, this happened to me. It also appears that others in this forum also have had similar problems with their Turbo Tax eFiled tax return that has the residential energy efficient tax credit.   I think it would help others avoid delays with their returns if Intuit give users a warning that using QMID I7Q6 can cause delayed return processing and to consider filing by mail.  If I had know I would have this experience I would have filed by USPS.

Sorry, you can't claim the credit.  First, you can only claim property when it was actually installed, you can't delay the claim until it is more convenient.  Second, the energy efficiency credits were ended 12/31/25 by the OBBB so there won't be a credit next year even if you could delay.  Third, the QMID is a requirement under the law (the Inflation Reduction Act passed during the Biden era).  Manufacturers had 3 years to get registered -- if your manufacturer failed, that is something you can take up with them, but the IRS has not announced any further leniency.
Your software does not allow me to enter my 1095-A information as received and will not allow me to e-file my tax return. Your software has a defect in it.
