Marking that you were a high school student is not important.   It would be important to mark that you are a student if you are a college student.

TurboTax approved me for an early refund, and the money has already been deposited into my account. However, the IRS app is now showing a message that part of my refund may be held for state or federal back taxes. My question is: if that happens, will I have to pay TurboTax back the difference? Also, does the early refund come from TurboTax, or does it come from the IRS?

Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities,  There is no rule as to which one will come first or how much time there will be between their arrivals.  Some states process returns quickly and some are very slow.   STATE RETURN Make sure your state return was accepted:  https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/   To track your state refund:       ttps://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_US_en_US?uid=lt447ebr https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/state-taxes/contact-state-department-revenue/L9qVToi02_US_en_US?uid=m6e06um0

We can only go by the Forms Availability Table, which says the Form 1040X Amended Return became available this afternoon February 27.  I have seen a user say it worked for him.   TurboTax Form Availability Tool   Try logging out and clearing your browser internet cache.  Close the browser and then reopen to log back to see if that made any difference.   Don't make any changes in your return until you can use the amend process.   if you are due a Federal refund, it's recommended to wait on the refund to arrive before amending. Or if you owed taxes due, to wait until the return processes.

The “senior deduction” is added automatically by the software based on the date of birth and filing status you entered into MY INFO.  You do not need to take any extra steps to enter it. (And…the new senior deduction has nothing to do with whether you are getting Social Security)   The deduction is not on the same line as your standard deduction.  It is shown separately.on line 13b.     2025 STANDARD DEDUCTION AMOUNTS SINGLE $15,750  (65 or older/legally blind + $2000) MARRIED FILING SEPARATELY $15,750  (65 or older/legally blind +1600) MARRIED FILING JOINTLY $31,500  (65 or older/legally blind + $1600) HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD $23,625 (65 or older/legally blind + $2000)     For 2025 through 2028 there is an extra  deduction amount of up to $6000 per individual 65 or older filing Single, MFJ, or HOH which is phased out for taxpayers with modified adjusted gross income over $75,000 for single filers and $150,000 for joint filers.   (The deduction phases out completely at $175.000 Single or HOH, or $250,000 joint)   The $6,000 senior deduction will be calculated on 1040 Schedule 1-A page 2 Part V Enhanced Deduction for Seniors which goes to 1040 line 13b. It is separate and in addition to the Standard Deduction or your Itemized Deductions on 1040 line 12e.  Turbo Tax automatically includes it. I'm entering the cost of good sold for my small business and turbotax 2025 shows the value I entered last year but shows a $0 for this year in the summary page. I've tried editing it a hundred times and each time when it shows the summary COGS is shown as $0. I want to be sure I'm not leaving anything on the table for a mistake in the software. Anyone else seeing this issue?
Form 1310 in the DeskTop Turbo tax has no link to form 1310.
The page says that it is temporarily unavailable due to changing laws and will be available later. How do I amend the return now?

@Aimeeu   I provided the shortcut method above to go directly to the estimated taxes entry section.   If you want to use regular navigation, here's how.  So between the 2 methods, you should be able to use one or both of them.   When you click in the left column tab for Deductions & Credits, it may take you to a page called "Your Tax Breaks".   That shows the "Tax Breaks", i.e., deductions, that someone has already worked on this year or that TurboTax is expecting from what was entered last year.   Lower on that same screen should be a button or link for "Add more tax breaks" or "Show more tax breaks" or similar wording.   When clicked, then the screen should expand, and all the deduction topics are displayed including "Estimates and Other Taxes Paid."  Then that topic can be expanded further to get the subtopic Estimated Tax Payments.

It appears every one is going through different routes to be blocked because the software would fail to activate the TurboTax.  I do not know how important it is to set up an envoirenment before you install TurboTax 2025.  I did multiple uninstall/re-installs with whatever I read  on these community pages and even from the expert help on a phone line.  All upto  successful installation appeared fine but once I launched the program, I hit the wall of activation problem. I got my TurboTax2025 Premier from TurboTax directly and have been for five years downloaded from a link provided on an email confirming my order.  Buying from third party seller may have some contributions to the problems of activation because different build of the TurboTax2025.  I tried finding the manual updates for the program and  executing those after the install.  That also did not help. With help from expert tech help, I found that the most important problem was a file prd.ini.signature that was not installed in the same folder as TurboTax.exe.  The installer was supposed to generate that file and store it in the default folder.  To manually generate that file, I was given a command line to run in the cmd.exe window with administrative rights  to generate that file.  Once that was done,  I was able to go past the activation hurdle.
Why is the IRS requiring me to file 1095-A when they claim me as a dependent?

The cost is a medical expense which can be used as an itemized deduction if your total itemized deductions exceed your standard deduction. You can only deduct as a medical deduction an amount of medical expenses greater than 7.5 percent of your AGI.
Thanks, but Turbotax did not ask if I wanted to create a new copy. It just took me to the one I already filled out.

@ Aimeeu wrote: I have exactly the same problem. It is the Online version  of Do it Yourself Premium.  There is no place to enter your estimated payments   Here's a tool that should get you directly to the estimated tax payments section.  I've also provided an alternate navigation method in a comment that follows this one.   With the return open, go to the left menu column and click on TAX TOOLS, then the subtab TOOLS. In the Tools Center choose the blue button Topic Search. In the topic search line enter the phrase estimated tax payments without quotes. Make the selection in the list (it may already be highlighted), and either double-click it or click the GO button. Next screen is Estimates and Other Income Taxes Paid. Expand the section Estimated Tax Payments. Choose the appropriate category and tax year you are reporting (Federal, state, local) and click START or Revisit. NOTE:  Before filing, make sure your Federal estimated tax payments correctly show on the Form 1040, Line 26, and that any state estimated tax payments (if applicable) show up on your state return.
