@Aimeeu I provided the shortcut method above to go directly to the estimated taxes entry section. If you want to use regular navigation, here's how. So between the 2 methods, you should be able to use one or both of them. When you click in the left column tab for Deductions & Credits, it may take you to a page called "Your Tax Breaks". That shows the "Tax Breaks", i.e., deductions, that someone has already worked on this year or that TurboTax is expecting from what was entered last year. Lower on that same screen should be a button or link for "Add more tax breaks" or "Show more tax breaks" or similar wording. When clicked, then the screen should expand, and all the deduction topics are displayed including "Estimates and Other Taxes Paid." Then that topic can be expanded further to get the subtopic Estimated Tax Payments.

It appears every one is going through different routes to be blocked because the software would fail to activate the TurboTax. I do not know how important it is to set up an envoirenment before you install TurboTax 2025. I did multiple uninstall/re-installs with whatever I read on these community pages and even from the expert help on a phone line. All upto successful installation appeared fine but once I launched the program, I hit the wall of activation problem. I got my TurboTax2025 Premier from TurboTax directly and have been for five years downloaded from a link provided on an email confirming my order. Buying from third party seller may have some contributions to the problems of activation because different build of the TurboTax2025. I tried finding the manual updates for the program and executing those after the install. That also did not help. With help from expert tech help, I found that the most important problem was a file prd.ini.signature that was not installed in the same folder as TurboTax.exe. The installer was supposed to generate that file and store it in the default folder. To manually generate that file, I was given a command line to run in the cmd.exe window with administrative rights to generate that file. Once that was done, I was able to go past the activation hurdle.

Thanks, but Turbotax did not ask if I wanted to create a new copy. It just took me to the one I already filled out.

@ Aimeeu wrote: I have exactly the same problem. It is the Online version of Do it Yourself Premium. There is no place to enter your estimated payments Here's a tool that should get you directly to the estimated tax payments section. I've also provided an alternate navigation method in a comment that follows this one. With the return open, go to the left menu column and click on TAX TOOLS, then the subtab TOOLS. In the Tools Center choose the blue button Topic Search. In the topic search line enter the phrase estimated tax payments without quotes. Make the selection in the list (it may already be highlighted), and either double-click it or click the GO button. Next screen is Estimates and Other Income Taxes Paid. Expand the section Estimated Tax Payments. Choose the appropriate category and tax year you are reporting (Federal, state, local) and click START or Revisit. NOTE: Before filing, make sure your Federal estimated tax payments correctly show on the Form 1040, Line 26, and that any state estimated tax payments (if applicable) show up on your state return.

If you need help, it's better to start a new thread dedicated to your issue, than in a thread with a wide mix of issues like this one. If you wish, start a new thread where it more likely to be seen and assisted. Be sure to put the rejection error code and message in your posting. You can do that here: https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/forums/postpage/board-id/202

I tried all those things with a live agent remoted in, but they didn't work for me. There must have been a glitch in my work because I tried starting another return on the same computer and things worked properly with it. I ended up deleting my return for this year and starting over on the original account, and it then worked for me. I don't understand how my online account could have a bug, but it did. I tried on three different computers and multiple browsers, and had the same result every time, so it was not a cookie or cache problem but something in the return itself. Anyway, the problem is solved now. Thanks for your suggestions.
