First --- you cannot prepare a 2024 tax return using online TurboTax.   Online is for 2025 only.   It cannot be used for 2024.   You cannot change the tax year.   The current online program is for 2025 only.   Only a 2025 return can be prepared online and only a 2025 return can be e-filed.   Online preparation and e-filing for 2022, 2023, and  2024 is permanently closed. Note:  The desktop software you need to prepare the prior year return must be installed/downloaded to a full PC or Mac.  It cannot be used on a mobile device.   To file a return for a prior tax year  If you need to prepare a return for 2022, 2023, or 2024  you can purchase and download desktop software to do it, then print, sign,  and mail the return(s) https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products/ You may also want to explore purchasing the software from various retailers such as Amazon, Costco, Best Buy, Walmart, Sam’s, etc.   Remember to prepare your state return as well—if you live in a state that has a state income tax.   https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/state-taxes/contact-state-department-revenue/L9qVToi02_US_en_US?uid=m6e06um0     When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.   Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses.  Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.

if you have TT home and business, go under business --> business and expenses-->rental income. There you can enter 1099-K, misc and cash/check/digital payments. I got 1099K from apartments.com/zillow, i entered there. some i got via check, i entered those as well in other income (not via 1099). Its clear.   I guess if u have other product, enter it under wages and income --> 1099

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.  “21 days”  is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.      First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:  https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/   Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.     You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2025 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:    https://www.irs.gov/refunds   To track your state refund:     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_US_en_US?uid=lt447ebr   If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing     https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/refunds-take-longer-others/L14YlqFrH_US_en_US?uid=lexdr7zh . https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/irs-refund-taking-longer-21-days/L2vRAJbdU_US_en_US?uid=lexe7lst         If you are getting earned income credit on line 27 or additional child tax credit on line 28 You are subject to the delay required by the PATH act.  Do not expect your refund before early March   https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/internal-revenue-service/federal-refunds-delayed-due-path-act/L5jnQJsBi_US_en_US   Note:  “Accepted” is not the same as “approved”.  TurboTax tells you the e-file was accepted if the IRS deems that there is enough information on the return for them to take it in for processing.   Only the IRS can approve of the refund, which is a later stage of processing.  If the IRS approves your refund they will provide a date for the refund to be issued.   FROM THE IRS WHERE’S MY REFUND SITE: https://www.irs.gov/wheres-my-refund How it works Where's My Refund shows your refund status: Return Received – We received your return and are processing it. Refund Approved – We approved your refund and are preparing to issue it by the date shown. Refund Sent – We sent the refund to your bank or to you in the mail. It may take 5 days for it to show in your bank account or several weeks for your check to arrive in the mail.

The individual forms lookup tool shows that Form 3115 for an application of change in accounting method, is only supported on TurboTax Windows (also needed for the corresponding Section 481(a) adjustment), and not in TurboTax Online.    If you are unable to upgrade to Windows 11, which is required to run the current tax year editions of TurboTax on Windows, then unfortunately you will not be able to complete your tax return using the software this year. You will likely need TurboTax Windows edition to enter business activity as a trader, in any case: see discussion.   Note: Form 3115 is mailed separately from your e-filed tax return, and is only supported for preparation and printing in the TurboTax Windows edition.   Learn more: How do I report my trader activity with or without Section 475(f) election in TurboTax?

How to change to 1040-SR?
By "last year" do you mean 2024 or 2025?   And....if you were married, how did your spouse file for that year?

What worked for me thus far with the same issue after the update is delete 5695, quit TT, restart the computer, open TT and complete the form again using Easy Step updating the Residential Energy Credit.  I checked again this morning and the correct amount is still there without errors.  However, I am not risking submitting my return for awhile and will see if things stay stable with the next few updates.  I have Premier Desktop and it is on a Mac but issue sure sounds the same as what I had.  Someone else tried this and did not work for them so ?
There was an update Friday but it did not address this issue...at least on the desktop version.

MY RETURN IS UNDER REVIEW The IRS is getting more and more vigilant to prevent identity theft and fraud.   People who file very early in the season are sometimes scrutinized more.  Do not take it personally.   TurboTax does not get any information from the IRS after they accept your return, so no one at TT knows that your refund is delayed or why.  All you can do is wait for the IRS to finish processing your return.  Watch the refund site.  If the IRS wants more information from you they will request it. If they want you to verify your identity, you must follow the IRS’s instructions in order to do that.   In many cases they will send you a letter—and you will have to wait for that letter.

Before amending make sure that:   You wait until your return has been accepted (or mailed if paper-filing). Use the same Intuit Account you used to file your original return. Once you begin your amendment, you'll see your original return. Only make changes to the areas of your return that need amending. The refund calculator will start ‌at $0 and only reflect the changes in the refund or tax due. Any changes you make to amend your federal return will automatically be transferred over to your state return. See the following links on how to amend your tax return:   How do I amend my federal tax return for this year? How do I amend my federal tax return for a prior year?
