Generally e-filed returns take 24 to 48 hours, but they can take up to 72 hours. Once your return is accepted, you can visit the IRS Where's My Refund? to check the status of your refund. Most efiled returns take 21 days to process. If your refund includes Earned Income Tax Credit and the Additional Child Tax Credit, the IRS will start making those refunds available by March 2, 2026. @Jazzypoohadoreme

@ MountainGuy16 wrote: I should add there still isn't anyplace to enter my actual estimated payments and date of payment for Colorado...at least not that I can find. State estimated tax payments you made for 2025 are entered on the Federal side. I know that's not intuitive. I'll provide the steps for both desktop and online TurboTax. For desktop TurboTax: Federal Taxes tab ( exception: Personal tab if Home and Business) Subtab Deductions & Credits If asked, "I'll choose what I work on." You'll arrive at Your 2025 Deductions & Credits summary page. Scroll way down that page to the topic Estimates and Other Taxes Paid. Choose subtopic Estimates and click Start or Revisit. On the next screen in the section Estimated Tax Payments, you should be able to find the subtopic for state estimated tax payments. For online Turbotax: With the return open, go to the left menu column and click on TAX TOOLS, then the subtab TOOLS. In the Tools Center choose the blue button Topic Search. In the topic search line enter the phrase estimated tax payments without quotes. Make the selection in the list (it may already be highlighted), and either double-click it or click the GO button. Next screen is Estimates and Other Income Taxes Paid. Expand the section Estimated Tax Payments. Choose the appropriate category and tax year you are reporting (Federal, state, local) and click START or Revisit. NOTE: Before filing, make sure your Federal estimated tax payments correctly show on the Form 1040, Line 26, and that any state estimated tax payments (if applicable) show up on your state return.

Did you see an underpayment penalty on your return and are trying to see if it can be reduced?
To review underpayment penalties, in TurboTax Online:
Open return and choose Other Tax Situations
Choose Underpayment Penalties
If asked "do you want to review estimated taxes" choose Yes
If a penalty was calculated, you should see the option to annualize to possibly reduce penalty
Form 2210, Underpayment of Estimated Tax, is only filled out by the taxpayer in certain situations:
A You request a waiver (see instructions) of your entire penalty. You must check this box and file page 1 of Form 2210, but you aren’t required to figure your penalty.
B You request a waiver (see instructions) of part of your penalty. You must figure your penalty and waiver amount and file Form 2210.
C Your income varied during the year and your penalty is reduced or eliminated when figured using the annualized income installment method. You must figure the penalty using Schedule Al and file Form 2210.
D Your penalty is lower when figured by treating the federal income tax withheld from your income as paid on the dates it was actually withheld, instead of in equal amounts on the payment due dates. You must figure your penalty and file Form 2210.
E You filed or are filing a joint return for either 2024 or 2025, but not for both years, and line 8 above is smaller than line 5 above. You must file page 1 of Form 2210, but you aren’t required to figure your penalty (unless box B, C, or D applies).
See this TurboTax tips article for more information about Form 2210.

Purchased 2025 TurboTax Deluxe from Costco on 2-11-2026, and I realized that was basic version for Federal only, so I did return it and re-purchased 2025 TurboTax Deluxe (Federal + State) from Costco on 2-22-2026, however it is still Federal only when downloaded. Also, while you open The Turbo tax, it does not ask new Sky at all. Please turbo software tech advise what should I do.

Your Wisconsin return wasn't submitted yet. We're updating TurboTax for a recent change to Wisconsin's retirement income section. The update will be available on February 26, 2026. On or after that date, please log in and ensure your product has been updated (online versions update automatically). Make any changes based on the following guidelines, complete a final review and resubmit your return.
1. If all of your retirement income is from qualified plans -- like a 401(k), 403(b), or government pension -- you can simply review and resubmit. Most workplace retirement plans are qualified.
2. If you have retirement income from a non-qualified plan (uncommon), go to Retirement Benefits Adjustments and follow the steps to update your amounts before resubmitting.

@ JoyLewis wrote: I got four login codes via text message from you guys and I was not logging it at the time. I just logged into send this message to find out what's going on or what I need to do to protect myself. This is a user community forum--not a direct route to TurboTax Support--so any unexpected text codes didn't come from "us guys" here but would have come from their automated computer system. But we can tell you how to check and update the log-in security in your Intuit Account, such as changing your password, etc. and also how to phone Customer Support. Log into your Online TurboTax account. In the left menu column scroll way down to Intuit Account. In the Intuit Account settings click the tab Sign in & Security. You can verify your settings there, and can change password, update email address, if needed, etc. Also while in that same Sign In & Security section scroll down a little and you'll see a section "Account activity." See if anything looks unusual there. NOTE: Be aware that if you have multiple Intuit accounts, i.e., different User IDs (as happens to a lot of people), any changes made in one account won't reflect in the other accounts. If you can not e-file your state tax return because your state ID is incorrect, you can try the following to fix it.
Try removing any extra letters or characters (like "WTH" or state abbreviations).
Enter only numbers or leave it blank if allows you to.
If you continue to get this error, try using your federal EIN (Box b) in the state ID field or try entering a dummy value, such as 9 digits like123456789 or 999999999.
You can also delete that specific W-2 and re-enter the information manually. Make sure that the correct state is selected from the dropdown menu.
You can easily get to the screen(s) in TurboTax where your W-2 is deleted/entered as follows:
Click on "Search" in the top right of your TurboTax screen.
Type "W-2" in the search bar.
Click on the link "Jump to W-2"
Your screen will say "W-2 Summary"
Click on the trash can to delete a form W-2 or "Add a new W-2" to reenter your Form W-2
Click here for How do I manually enter my W-2?
If you have additional information or questions regarding this, please return to Community and we would be glad to help.
