It depends if you had lump-sum payments reported for years prior to 2021. If not, enter "0" in that Box then enter 2020 as the year. If you have amounts reported prior to 2021:   Pick year 2020. Enter the total amount shown for "Other Tax Years" under that specific year.  As long as your income in those "Other" years was similar, the calculation will be accurate. If the amount is small (under $300), the tax impact is likely zero anyway.   @MJR-TX

If you do not have a QMID (Qualified Manufacturer ID) for your product, you can contact the manufacturer directly to request their 4-digit code. The QMID is assigned to the manufacturer, not the installer.    You can also try checking with your installer for it or it may be on your  "Manufacturer Certification Statement," which should list the necessary information for Form 5695, including your QMID.    Click here for Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit qualified manufacturer requirements Click here for What Is the IRS Form 5695?   Click here for Instructions for Form 5695 Please return to Community if you have any additional information or questions and we would be happy to help.

This is exactly the error I am seeing as well. My 2024 passive losses are being attributed to 2023 on the Schedule E Worksheet and not carrying over correctly for 2025. It appears TT software is leaving the Passive Operating Loss box empty instead of carrying it forward.

Yes, I answered yes and entered basis upto 2024. I had non-deductible basis prior to 2024 and no contribution in traditional IRA in 2025. My wife had non-deductible basis prior to 2024 and ALSO contribution in traditional IRA in 2025.   I now see the forms under Forms mode but its not showing when I try to print the pdf. Its missing there so I am unclear whether or not 8606's will be filed.

You have a couple of options.     You can contact the issuing bank and request that the 1099-INT be issued in your ex-wife's name.  They may be willing to help.     Or you can issue a 1099 from you to your ex-wife transferring the interest into her name and social security number.     Or you can just enter it into your tax return.
Thank you for your answer.

Where are you seeing it at 100%?   Check your actual 1040 or 1040SR line 6b.  If you are looking at a summary screen or review screen those show the full amount as income and lump a lot of stuff together. You need to check the actual 1040 form and make sure it’s right.  Before filing,  You can preview the 1040 or print the whole return https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/accessing/help/how-do-i-preview-my-turbotax-online-return-before-filing/00/26160   Up to 85% of Social Security becomes taxable when all your other income plus 1/2 your social security, reaches: Married Filing Jointly: $32,000 Single or head of household: $25,000 Married Filing Separately: 0
