Yes, the display on the Deductions topics page may not be updating correctly. However, if you have verified that your forms are correct, this doesn't affect your return. Often if you step through the interview all the way to the end (summary) and click back in, the 'Available Now' will update.
When you exit/save your return and come back in, it may also resolve.

Same problem. This is the last year I will purchase Turbo Tax software. I have been using it for probably 20+ years. They don't even bother finishing the software before tax season. I am having this problem on my daughter's taxes, and I struggled for hours earlier today trying to get capital loss carryovers to work in my mother's tax return. Following this thread to see when this get's fixed.

@Patbbb It is on the form to provide an extra measure of security ---but you are not required by the IRS to enter a driver's license or state ID in order to e-file your federal tax return. However, there are some states that are very picky that will not allow you to e-file a state return without a state ID or driver's license.

DawnC I use the online version (not the desktop version) so I do am not able to go to forms mode to enter information that way. With the online version, can you tell me where to enter Room and Board to justify the 529 distributions? This is so that I get the American Opportunity Tax Credit.

I'm using the 2025 desktop version of TurboTax software. I recently put in some interest that I didn't get a 1099-INT form for due to in being only $3.69. The refund went down by $11. I found the step to be between $3.63 and $3.64. I check the worksheet in the subject line and see the jump in tax between those two values on line 22. This can't be a rounding error since both would round to $4. I'm also below the single bracket on line 6 of 48,350 by several thousand. I assume it's some kind of bug?

doesn't seem like that advice works

regardless of date it's still taxes you paid for 2025. the lateness may contribute to a penalty on Form 2210 tho.

But for high earners who don't qualify for the credits (TT tells you you don't qualify, and I also checked NA on the interview instead of "whichever gives me the bigger credit), that line should be set to zero.

this is up to Robinhood, these dates vary by broker - the data for import needs to be prepared and made available separately and later than the 1099 PDF you have in hand.

Did you already e-file? If you did NOT e-file you can go to the FILE section step 2 to enter/change how you want to receive your refund. If you want direct deposit you need the routing number and your own account number.
If you e-filed:
Banking information for direct deposit is wrong or closed
If you entered incorrect banking information for your refund, you can change it if your return is rejected. If it is accepted, however, it is too late to change it. The bank will reject the refund and send it back to the IRS.
https://www.taxpayeradvocate.irs.gov/news/tax-tips/direct-deposit-changes-for-2026-could-affect-how-and-when-you-get-your-refund/2026/01/
If you take NO action—-the IRS will freeze your refund for at least six weeks and then mail you a check.
If your refund is sent back to the IRS—- make certain that the address you entered on your Form 1040 is correct. And…open all mail, even if it looks like junk mail.

To report a qualified charitable distribution on your Form 1040 tax return, you'll use the 1099-R (even though there's no indication that it was a QCD). Enter the info as a 1099-R and you'll be asked in one of the follow-up questions if it was a Qualified Charitable Distribution.
TurboTax includes the full amount of the distribution reported on your Form 1099-R on line 4a (IRA Distributions) of your Form 1040 or 1040-SR. The taxable amount reported on Line 4b will be the total distribution less the QCD amount and will have "QCD" entered next to it.

So why is it on the form in the 1st place and no explanation that it really is not required?
