you are saying to reduce column A(monthly premium) of the 1095-A form by the amount i was reimbursed? Will this not cause a flag since my input will not match the form I received?

If you choose to pay your TurboTax fees by having the fees deducted from your federal refund, instead of paying upfront using your credit or debit card, there is an EXTRA "refund processing fee" of $40 ($45 in CA) to allow your refund to go from the IRS to a third party bank. That bank extracts the money you owe to TurboTax and pays TT, and keeps the $40 for itself.
Please make note that if your refund takes too long to arrive (IRS delays, etc.) then you will also be agreeing that the TurboTax fees can be extracted from your bank account even before your refund is issued by the IRS. This comes as an unpleasant shock to many people every year.
If you can possibly pay your fees upfront using a debit or credit card, it will save you that extra fee and even more importantly, the possible aggravation and delays that are often the result of poor handling/poor customer service by that third party bank. We see way too many instances where refunds are delayed for months when users choose refund processing. There have been lots of complaints; there are a number of things that can go wrong when you use refund processing. I suggest avoiding that situation if at all possible.
And....you can never pay state tax due from a federal refund, so do not expect that. The state tax due has to be paid directly to your state.

You are not required to use refund processing. You can choose to pay before you e-file by paying with a credit or debit card.

There will be a question in 2025 you probably found already, for you to input the basis to carry forward from 2024. see "If your conversion contains contributions made in 2025 for 2024" here: https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/retirement-benefits/enter-backdoor-roth-ira-conversion/L7gGPjKVY_US_en_US

Hi - I am having issues with my 2025 Idaho State Tax Return. My understanding is that we shouldn't get the SALT deduction on our state return, even if we took it on our federal return. So line 14 of Form 40 is supposed to add that back. My line 14 is adding back a random number that makes no sense to me (doesn't match the formulas from the instructions for Form 40 or anything on my Schedule A from the Federal Return). Also, it keeps telling me the wrong information related to itemized deductions vs standard deductions, etc. Is anyone else struggling with the Idaho State Returns this year? I know what I want it to look like, but TurboTax doesn't even give me the option to get it correct manually myself. It is trying to force me to do it incorrectly. Thanks!

Very interesting wording. “AFTER February 13”? From Before February to February 11 to February 13 to AFTER February 13? That could be forever according to my calendar. Somehow other tax software such as H&R Block has had this function working perfectly for weeks. TurboTax has clearly dropped the ball on this. Wish they would just give us an honest answer.

Might I suggest that when replying to a question with "We are hoping for this weekend, if not before. We don't have a specific date" - which is nothing more than gobbledigook and double-talk - that annotating such a lame response with "Mark as Best Answer" is, frankly, insulting. Just fix it.

I didn't realize that tips for food service industry were deductible. So thanks to TT for asking me what my employer industry was, I was able to get a bigger federal refund.

@VolvoGirl Lost my internet for awhile....panicking while I restarted stuff took too long. My battery backup actually failed with a relatively new battery. That edit made more sense.......i.e. before vs minus ____________________ Anyhow, I can see it could have been two different things: Either: 1) they didn't actually have the right numbers entered into their box 5 or, 2) They added all the existing boxes up and only thought the gross total should have been $57k.
