Thanks I'll check on that! I try not to jump on the Windows updates too fast, in case there are issues - but that could be it!

You can change the email address associated with your account through your account settings.
Intuit uses a single sign in system for all Intuit products, so changing it here will also update it for any other Intuit products you use, such as QuickBooks or Credit Karma.
To Change Your Email Address:
Select Intuit Account located in the lower-left corner of your screen (near the Sign Out button).
On the Account Manager page, select the Sign in & security menu.
Select the Email address section.
Enter your new email address and then enter it again to confirm.
Enter your current password when prompted to verify the change.
Select Save.
Check your new email inbox for a verification link from Intuit and click it to finalize the update.
If you can't sign in at all, you can go to the Intuit Account Recovery page. This requires you to upload a photo of a government-issued ID to verify your identity.

The amount in item D in the Earlier Year Filing Status smart Worksheet, is what you would have manually entered when you entered your Social Security benefits.
Under Income, go to Social Security and click Update.
You would have entered your net benefits on this screen that appear on your SSA-1099. Click Continue.
Click No then Continue, unless you lived abroad in one of the countries listed on that screen.
Click yes to receiving lump sum payments for 2024 or earlier.
Enter the year of the lump sum payment you received.
Enter the amount of the lump sum payment for that year on the next screen, then click Continue.
Enter the box 5 amount from the other year SSA-1099 (or double-check it if it is pre-filled in)
Enter the information about your income from the year in question (or double-check it if it is pre-filled in). The box for Taxable Social Security benefits in 2024 is the amount that will get entered for item D in the Earlier Year FIling Status Smart Worksheet.

this distribution is from a regular IRA, so why is it asking for a date of the first Roth contribution?

Thank you Mike 9241. As you say, I found most of the 2024 imported values on the Carryover Worksheet and then a few more/duplicates on the Two-Year Summary Worksheet. I did a search for '2024' in my .pdf of all forms from the 2025 return and of the 68 instances, these were the only ones tied to actual data. Not sure if TurboTax stores the imported 2024 data somewhere else within the 2025 data file (i.e. that doesn't show up on an actual form). I'll definitely be double checking any of the 2025 calculations that use 2024 data before filing. What a pain - I won't make this mistake again...will undoubtedly make others.

You don't say:
1. whether your employer is also withholding Perrysburg tax
2. whether the Mansfield tax is prorated just for the one day a month
3. whether your home city also has an income tax and whether your employer is withholding for that city too
4. what your employer said when you asked why they withheld Mansfield tax
5. How your employer is handling city taxes for the cities in the four counties that you do work in
You may be entitled to refund for days you did not work in Mansfield. You'll need to file a non-resident city return to get a refund. It's a good idea to contact the city first, because they may require a special form for this situation. TurboTax cannot do a Mansfield return.
But, if you happened to work those days in other cities that had a tax; you would then owe tax to those cities. You usually do not have to pay taxes to a city that you worked in 12 days or less (20 for RITA cities).
You normally only have to file a return in the city you live in. It is not necessary to file one in the city you work in, if different. Your employer will remit withholding to the city you work in, but you do not file a return unless you're claiming a refund or your employer didn't withhold enough ( both highly unusual). The city you live in will allow a credit or partial credit for the withheld tax you paid to the work location city.

Hello! How are you handling the overtime wages with the new law? I have a w2 that has an amount in box 14 along with words "flsa wages" but it doesnt specify if it's actually overtime or not. All wages including overtime appears to be in box 1. Are you getting details over your overtime wages from your employer then taking the premium by the number of hours over 40 worked in 2025? Any guidance from you experts in the community on this new law would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, because you meet the Substantial Presence Test (SPT) for 2025 and were a resident in the prior year (2024), the "General Rule" for residency applies to you.
Under the IRS General Rule, if you meet the SPT, your residency status lasts from January 1 through December 31. While there is an "exception" that allows you to end your residency early (Dual-Status), you are not required to take it.

Here's how you can fix it:
Sign in to your account and select the Fix my return button. Follow any “fix it” instructions to update the information causing the rejection.
Note: Not all rejections will have explicit guides to fix the information. You’ll need to navigate to the program area to address the cause of the rejection.
Time-saving Tip: If what you originally entered is correct, you won't be able to e-file. There's probably a data mismatch at the government, a dependent that's already been claimed, or some other situation beyond your control that prevents your return from being e-filed. In this case, your only option would be to print and mail in your return. This article will give you instruction on how to print and mail your return.
Additional reject instruction here.

What SS deduction are you referring to? There is no Social Security deduction. Last year there was a lot of political hot air about "no tax on Social Security" but when the new tax laws passed, the law did not change in regard to taxing SS. Instead there is a "senior deduction" which is automatically added to your tax return---no matter what version of the software you are using. You do not have to upgrade to get it.
The “senior deduction” is added automatically by the software based on the date of birth and filing status you entered into MY INFO. You do not need to take any extra steps to enter it. (And…the new senior deduction has nothing to do with whether you are getting Social Security)
The deduction is not on the same line as your standard deduction. It is shown separately.
2025 STANDARD DEDUCTION AMOUNTS
SINGLE $15,750 (65 or older/legally blind + $2000)
MARRIED FILING SEPARATELY $15,750 (65 or older/legally blind +1600)
MARRIED FILING JOINTLY $31,500 (65 or older/legally blind + $1600)
HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD $23,625 (65 or older/legally blind + $2000)
For 2025 through 2028 there is an extra deduction amount of up to $6000 per individual 65 or older filing Single, MFJ, or HOH which is phased out for taxpayers with modified adjusted gross income over $75,000 for single filers and $150,000 for joint filers.
(The deduction phases out completely at $175.000 Single or HOH, or $250,000 joint)
The $6,000 senior deduction will be calculated on 1040 Schedule 1-A page 2 Part V Enhanced Deduction for Seniors which goes to 1040 line 13b. It is separate and in addition to the Standard Deduction or your Itemized Deductions on 1040 line 12e. Turbo Tax automatically includes it.

If you are not getting the senior deduction it is because
Your date of birth in MY INFO shows that you were not 65 by the end of 2025
Your income is too high
You are filing married filing separately

Sounds like something got stuck. You can try these things:
Log Out Completely: Before doing anything else, click Sign Out in the TurboTax menu.
Clear Cache and Cookies: This removes old, "corrupted" data that might be confusing the website.
Use an Incognito (Private) Window: This is the most effective "quick fix" because it launches the browser without any saved history or extensions (like AdBlockers) that often interfere with tax forms.
Check Pop-up Blockers: TurboTax often opens forms (like the 1099 PDF) or payment windows in a separate pop-up. Look at the right side of your address bar for a small icon with a "red X"—click it and select "Always allow pop-ups from Intuit."
Restart the Browser: Close all open windows of your browser entirely and then reopen it.
Most TurboTax errors happen because the browser is trying to use an old "session" from a previous visit. By clearing the cache or using Incognito mode, you force the browser to establish a brand-new, secure connection with the Intuit servers.

No, a Schwab International Equity ETF (like SCHF) held in a U.S. brokerage account (like Merrill Lynch) is not considered a "Specified Foreign Financial Asset" for IRS reporting purposes (Form 8938 or FBAR).
The critical factor for FATCA (Form 8938) and FBAR (FinCEN Form 114) reporting is where the account is maintained, not what the assets within the account are.
