Thank you. With the "review" notification, I thought I had to do something. TurboTax in its final review also said it was missing and said a state must be entered. So I entered TN, as in typed it in. I think TurboTax needs to fix it because it knows from other data entry I am in TN. For it never gets out of final review. Side note, it just notified me (after your response) that my W2 is available electronically. Maybe that will resolve it

Sorry---no, you do not get $2400 for each child.
Make sure you have entered your child as a dependent in My Info, and that you have entered the child's Social Security number. Careful— do not say that your child’s SSN is not valid for employment. If your child was born in 2025 make sure you said he lived with you the whole year. There is an oddly worded question that asks if the child paid over half their own support. Say NO to that question.
If your dependent was a full-time college student, make sure you were careful on the MY INFO screen for “Uncommon situations” and that you indicated there that they were a student.
Have you entered income from working in 2025? If not, you will not receive an income tax refund based on having dependent children.
The maximum amount of the child tax credit is now $2200 per child; the refundable “additional child tax credit” amount is $1700. In order to get that credit, you have to have income from working.
Take the amount you earned from working. Subtract $2500. Multiply the rest by 15%. That is the additional child tax credit per child that you canget—- up to the maximum of $1700 per child. If the amount you earned from working was low, you will not get the full $1700 per child.
If your child is older than 16 at the end of 2025, you do not get the CTC. But you may still get the non-refundable $500 credit for other dependents instead.

"Do I have to verify myself..." Did you receive a letter from the IRS that said you need to verify your identity? TurboTax gets no information from the IRS after you file your tax return, so no one at TT knows if the IRS made that request.
("I should be getting 9/10K from y'all")
Your refund does not come from TurboTax it comes from the IRS.
Only the IRS can tell you what is going on with your 2024 refund.
First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:
https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/
Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

If she is age 19 or older and not a full time student, then she would be claimed as a dependent under the Qualifying Relative rules. Go back to the My Info section and review your answers for her being a dependent.
To be a Qualifying Relative -
1. The person cannot be your qualifying child or the qualifying child of any other taxpayer. A child is not the qualifying child of any other taxpayer if the child's parent (or any other person for whom the child is defined as a qualifying child) is not required to file an income tax return or files an income tax return only to get a refund on income tax withheld. 2. The person either (a) must be related to you or (b) must live with you all year as a member of your household. 3. The person's gross income for the year must be less than $5,200 (social security does not count) in 2025 4. You must provide more than half of the person's total support for the year. 5. The person must be a U.S. citizen or a U.S., Canada, or Mexico resident for some part of the year. 6. The person must not file a joint return with their spouse with the following exception - You can claim a person as a dependent who files a joint return if that person and that person’s spouse file the joint return only to claim a refund of income tax withheld or estimated tax paid.

Currently, TurboTax supports the manual entry of IRS Form 1099-DA. We are in the process of enhancing our CSV import and upload features to make this process more seamless.
Timeline: We expect the new CSV import functionality to be available by mid-February. Please note that this is an estimated target as we finalize the experience.
Supported Documents: Once live, the import/upload feature will support both 1099-DA and DigitalAssetGainLoss files.
If you are ready to file now, you can still enter your information manually. Otherwise, thank you for your patience while we get these automated tools ready for you!

The IRS will either reject your return after it was e-filed or after some time they will be sending you a letter questioning the W-2 that was included with your 2025 tax return. You can amend the return that was filed to only include 2025 tax data, if the IRS accepts the return.
To complete and file a 2023 tax return using TurboTax you would need to purchase, download and install on a personal computer one of the 2023 desktop editions from this website - https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products/
A 2023 tax return can only be printed and mailed, it cannot be e-filed using TurboTax

Once a tax return has been filed it cannot be changed, canceled or retrieved
You will have to wait for the IRS to either Accept or Reject your filed federal tax return. If the return is rejected you can make the necessary changes and e-file again. If the return is accepted you will have to amend your original tax return. An amended return, Form 1040-X, can only be printed and mailed to the IRS if the original tax return was not e-filed. The IRS will take up to 20 weeks or longer to process an amended tax return.
Before starting to amend the tax return, wait for the tax refund to be received or the taxes due to be paid and processed by the IRS.
