The IRS allows you to round amount to whole dollars on your tax return. A distribtuion of $.07 rounds to zero and has no tax impact.   In TurboTax, you can enter 1 dollar in Box 1 and 0 as the taxable amount so you can continue. This will have no tax impact on your return.

If you had an ITIN but have a social security number now, you will want to use your social security number on your tax return and going forward.  You will want to contact the IRS to let them know you have a social security number so they can consolidate your tax records.  See "What do I do when I am assigned a Social Security number (SSN)?" at Additional ITIN information.  You may need to wait until the records are consolidated to file your tax return for this year.

Okay, I did taxes but I never got told about any excess contributions.  I'm the HSA contributor for myself and wife.  Following is what I did for HSA questions: Q1 - 65 or older when distribution rec'd?  Because I turned 65 on 9/2/2025, I answered "No".  Correct? Q2 - I used all money for medical expenses. Q3 - Tot. Cont. $9550 (total dist. 11,185) Q4 - Covered by HDDP Q5 - For situations that apply to me, I said I had Medicare because its Retroactive to 09/2025 from 1/2026. Q6 - For HDHP Type, I said "Family" Q7 - For monthly types of coverage, I said Jan-Aug (Family plan) and Sep-Dec (Medicare or None).  Correct? I also notice that Form 8889-T > Line 3 Smart Worksheet has "Family" for all months instead of "None" for Sep-Dec.  Is that correct? Thanks
Q. How do you know TT is fixing this?  A. I'm in contact with the forum moderator.    Q. Is there any ETA for a fix? A. Not that they've shared, yet.

Today's 2025 Turbotax Premier update resulted in 2 Forms 8283 being generated with all of my charitable contributions listed, including those less than $500, just as in past years.   However, the method used to determine the fair market value is still incorrect.  On the Charitable Contribution Details Worksheets, the method is listed as Average Share rather than Average share price.  Average Share isn't one of the drop-down list choices which is probably why it's displayed in red.  When I change it to Average share price, this change doesn't propagate to the Noncash Contributions Worksheets or to the Forms 8283 which both still list the default method, Comparative sales.  This correction doesn't propagate up to EasyStep which then has no method selected.  When I again select Average share price, all of the worksheets and forms are again incorrect, so I don't see how I can fix this.
I think, programmatically, you're going to have to change the allocation to the beneficiaries elsewhere and let the trust pay the tax that flows from Line 2.

If the IRS is reviewing your return, they may have questions about your wages and withholding, or credits or expenses shown on your tax return, or your return may have been selected for random review. It doesn't necessarily mean there was a discrepancy.    See this IRS webpage for additional information. They ask that taxpayers wait 60 days before contacting them to follow up.

Thanks for your reply and the new information Patricia.  While the additional delay is disappointing and problematic, I understand unexpected delays can occur.  However, what I cannot fathom or condone is the false and misleading information provided by Intuit regarding this delay.  Intuit had to know before today that this form and the related functionality would not be "ready by February, but likely sooner" as noted in the message on application.  Even after the update this morning the erroneous message remains the same.   It appears that many others are also waiting on this remaining component to complete and file their returns.  Without accurate and timely information we can not effectively plan around the delay.  This lack of communication is simply poor customer relations and service.
Do a Google search for ItsDeductible alternatives (they're out there and can do your valuations).
