HI, Retired Gal! I'm trying to do my 2025 taxes and running into the same problem. The 1040-SS for 2025 wants us to attach the Schedule SE from our return, so we can't do the override there. Schedule 2 won't let us override, either. I'm thinking to do a temporary override in Schedule SE for completing my 1040-SR, the undoing the override for attachment to the 1040-SS. Will TurboTax ever take us and the other territories into consideration so we don't have to jump through these hoops?

@user17697187090    Yeah, the Q&A needs fixing.   We've poked the TTX folks to modify that question about the Total amount being the taxable amount. It's not the total, the Q should indicate box 2a as the taxable amount   I had the same situation with box 2a being lower than box 1.  The second time around I said YES to that question and the proper box 2a value was actually used.    As stated now.....the Q is HORRIBLY misleading.   We want them to change the text on that question to the following: _____________________

Yes!  You can elect to set up a Trump Account  for your eligible child while you file your taxes in TurboTax.  Only certain relatives, like parents, or guardians can set up the account.  We'll ask you questions about you and your children to see if they qualify and help you file Form 4547 to request the account.   This will be at the end of the filing process.     You’ll also be able to open an account at trumpaccounts.gov starting in summer 2026.    More information on Trump Accounts   Parents Guide to Trump Accounts

Did you e-file already?   If you already e-filed--you cannot add anything at this time.  You wait for the e-file to reject and add it, or you wait for an accepted return to be fully processed and amend later---the Form 1040X you will need is not available until late February.       Or...are you still in the midst of preparing your return?   If so....what kind of 1099 do you need to enter?  SSA1099? 1099G?  1099R?  1099B?  1099NEC?   etc etc etc.
Thank you.   I was confused.  Would have been nice to get the $5600.

Try using a different browser, or using your browser in incognito mode.  I couldn't get 2025 when using Chrome, (even today) but when I used Edge, I could see 2025 data.  Then I tried using Chrome incognito, and I could see it as well.  Still can't see 2025 with Chrome in normal mode.  I am guessing that something is not updating in Chrome, even though I have cleared cache and deleted cookies.  Hope this works for you.

Desktop Mac user. Spent 2 hours w/TT Tech Support yesterday regarding this. Under Wages & Income/Less Common Income/Misc Income/Other Reportable Income (was for a UK Pension).  Entered requested brief description & taxpayer amount.  As a 25+ year TT user, I've had this same deduction for many years, w/no problems. Submitted returns. Within an hour it was rejected by IRS.  Code indicated there was no 'explanation' of what the 'other reportable income' was. Went back & checked: Saw Schedule 1 Line 8z.  Amounts populated, but not explanation. 3 techs later, nothing resolved.  Level 2 Tech, was extremely arrogant & told me to 'print it out, write it in & mail it'.  Really?  He then said it would be escalated &  I'd receive an email w/case #, etc. Didn’t happen.   Not sure where to go w/this. Obviously a bug in the software.
My understanding is that Door Dash will be sending emails that state your tips- before Feb 1. You can also pull your monthly statements to see customer tips and add them up.
I agree, this is busted. The AGI I have is no where near where it needs to be for the $10K cap, but that's what turbotax says, and yes I'm doing itemized deductions.

I assume that when an IRS computer analyzes a filing generated by TurboTax, it checks your input data against fiducial sources such as 1099s filed by the organizations that generated the income, and makes other sanity and consistency checks. Then if all the input data passes those validations, it uses its own algorithms to determine how much tax is due and whether you have overpaid or underpaid. In other words, if TurboTax has made an inaccurate intermediate calculation, the IRS computer is oblivious to it. I think that the IRS computers extract only a few items from the filed form, and draw conclusions from those. Any disagreements?
Here is the guide to transferring prior year data.  Assuming that you have tried these steps can you please let us know what the error message is that you are seeing?

We completed our Partnership filings using 2025 tubotax business windows desktop edition and successfully efiled. When we went to send the generated PDF K1 package to business partner we noticed that the following error message would be displayed whenever we tried to look at the filing generated K1 forms. We tried all permuations in trying to generate a clean K1 form with no luck.    We tried to use the chat feature to investigate / report the problem on two separate occasions. Part way thru the 1st the support person terminated the chat. At no time did I get the feeling that either customer support person felt like this was a problem with their software.    I even tried to transfer the pdf file to a brand new clean windows desktop box and the problem was worse... nothing was display for the K1.   Has anyone else had a problem with their 2025 turbotax business K1 forms? Has anyone found a workaround?
To clarify, is this occurring in the federal or state return? If state return, what state?
