Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities. There is no rule as to which one will come in first or how long it will be between their arrival in your account.
TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer. “21 days” is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.
First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:
https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/
Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2025 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
https://www.irs.gov/refunds
To track your state refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing

If you are getting earned income credit on line 27 or additional child tax credit on line 28 You are subject to the delay required by the PATH act. Do not expect your refund before early March
https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/internal-revenue-service/federal-refunds-delayed-due-path-act/L5jnQJsBi_US_en_US
Note: “Accepted” is not the same as “approved”. TurboTax tells you the e-file was accepted if the IRS deems that there is enough information on the return for them to take it in for processing. Only the IRS can approve of the refund, which is a later stage of processing. If the IRS approves your refund they will provide a date for the refund to be issued.

You will not be able to use "clear and start over" if you already tried to e-file. You can go back into the tax return and make necessary corrections one by one and then try to re-file.

rather than doing Begin and selecting the .tax2024 file for transfer etc, try opening the .tax2024 directly as a return in the 2025 software which will detect prior year version and kick off the transfer process into a new return. you may have the same issues, but worth a shot. this has been helpful for people unable to get the transfer to work to begin with.

This is in accordance with IRS regulations, explained here. It states that If" you had a financial interest in, or signature authority over, a financial account in a foreign country or you received a distribution from, or were a grantor of, or transferor to, a foreign trust. Part III of the schedule has questions about foreign accounts and trusts."

When I try to remove my self employed business, it will not delete. I have answered the questions that I stopped this business in 2025. I have not entered any income or expenses for this business and do not see a schedule C. Just not sure how to make sure the depreciation of home office and automobile is ended.

Twice while completing 2025 taxes and entering ITEMS donated when I moved on from charitable donations the software deleted all the entries with items - left the cash part intact. This reduced my total refund by over $250. I called Intuit and got no help but found what seems to be an issue if you have 1 item total that is over $500. For this year it seems to ask more questions than last - how obtained, value and if owned over 1 year. I reduced the value under $500 and it allowed things to work as it should. I didnt try to split into 2 seperate donations of half the value.

I need to amend the return to reclassify my wife's income properly, from 1099 to Foreign Wages. I was able to make the changes to my file and I can see the difference in the amount of money owed to IRS. I don't know how to produce a 1040x for e-file or for mail in purposes.
