You will receive a final decision of whether you are approved for a Refund Advance after you file your taxes and the IRS accepts your return.
You won't receive your funds until the IRS starts accepting returns, which is typically late January.

Sounds like something got stuck. You can try these things:
Log Out Completely: Before doing anything else, click Sign Out in the TurboTax menu.
Clear Cache and Cookies: This removes old, "corrupted" data that might be confusing the website.
Use an Incognito (Private) Window: This is the most effective "quick fix" because it launches the browser without any saved history or extensions (like AdBlockers) that often interfere with tax forms.
Check Pop-up Blockers: TurboTax often opens forms (like the 1099 PDF) or payment windows in a separate pop-up. Look at the right side of your address bar for a small icon with a "red X"—click it and select "Always allow pop-ups from Intuit."
Restart the Browser: Close all open windows of your browser entirely and then reopen it.
Most TurboTax errors happen because the browser is trying to use an old "session" from a previous visit. By clearing the cache or using Incognito mode, you force the browser to establish a brand-new, secure connection with the Intuit servers.

Could you clarify which itemized deductions are missing from your New York State return so we can provide assistance?

It depends.
Yes, if the state where you did not physically earn the income is your resident state and that resident state charges state income tax.
Most states that have a state income tax, taxes you on income you earn from all sources.
If you live in a state that has an income tax, and you earn money in a non-resident state, (and there is no reciprocal agreement between the states) do the non-resident state return FIRST. Next do your resident return and you will get credit for the tax paid to the non-resident state.

You cannot change or add anything on the return that you just e-filed, nor can you stop it. It is too late, just like when you put an envelope in a US mailbox on the corner. The IRS does not allow you to take it back.
If you left out a W-2, a 1099G, or a dependent, or a 1099 etc…DO NOT change your return while it is “pending.” The changes will go nowhere.
Now you have to wait until the IRS either rejects or accepts your return. If your return is rejected, you will be able to go into your account and make the necessary changes to your tax return and re-submit your return.
If the IRS accepts your return, however, then you have to wait longer until it has been fully processed and you have received your refund. THEN you can prepare an amended tax return and e-file or mail it in. You have to be able to work from that return exactly the way it was when it was e-filed originally. You will need to use a form called a 1040X.
Meanwhile, DO NOT go in and start changing anything on your return in the system, or you will make a mess for yourself. Sit tight and wait until you see what the IRS does with the return you just e-filed
The Form 1040X you need becomes available in late February, But wait until your return has been processed.

In my case I had to lower the amounts on boxes 1, 3, 5, and 16 from my W2 so my reported income fell below our limit for EIC. After answering the EIC questions, I went back and corrected the W2 amounts, and thankfully the US residence box was checked. I also reviewed every page on the final forms to make sure nothing else was changed after that hassle 🙄 I'd keep track of your federal and state return/owed amounts before changing any income to make sure they're still the same afterwards, since the only goal here is to check the new box on page 1 of 1040. It's annoying, but the EIC section seems to do the trick. It (kinda) makes sense with the instructions for 1040 stating: Main home was in the U.S. If your main home (and spouse if filing a joint return) was in the U.S. for over half of 2025, check the box on the front of Form 1040 or 1040-SR. Providing this information will help the IRS determine your eligibility for certain tax benefits, including the earned income credit.
