One thing that's always been the positive for TurboTax was the fact my information would roll over from year to year. Most of the time I wouldn't have too much I'd be waiting on. However, since 2023 I've had a lot of solar credits and energy improvement projects, so it's especially important now that my information rolls over since I can only get five years roll over. Fortunately, I got a HELOC back in December and I am not a huge rush for my refund since it's all going back into paying my HELOC down anyway. It is still frustrating none the less.

You may have received an automated email indicating that Form 5695 was available. While the form has been finalized, the final software update is still being deployed, and some customers may not yet see the form available in their product.
The update is actively rolling out across all platforms, and full access will be available once deployment is complete. No action is needed from you at this time. Check again tomorrow and/or this weekend to complete filing 5695. If you continue to see this form blocked after this weekend (1/25/26), please tell us in the replies below. Thank you.

You might not even be required to file, depending on how much income you have in addition to the Social Security.

You need to file a federal return if half your Social Security plus your other income is
Single or Head of Household $25,000
Married Filing Jointly $32,000
Married Filing Separately $0
And......if you have a 1095A for marketplace health insurance, you are required to file.

No one can see your screen or your tax return. Post clearly worded, complete and very specific questions so someone will know how to help.

Note: The desktop software you need to prepare the prior year return must be installed/downloaded to a full PC or Mac. It cannot be used on a mobile device.
To file a return for a prior tax year
If you need to prepare a return for 2022, 2023, or 2024 you can purchase and download desktop software to do it, then print, sign, and mail the return(s)

You may also want to explore purchasing the software from various retailers such as Amazon, Costco, Best Buy, Walmart, Sam’s, etc.
Remember to prepare your state return as well—if you live in a state that has a state income tax.

If the distribution came from a normal IRA, it would fall under "• An individual retirement account, annuity or trust or simplified employee pension under IRC Sec. 408; " above. This means that the exclusion of your retirement income of up to $10,000 is permitted. This ALSO means that you do not need to check that the distribution does not permitted for the Oklahoma retirement exclusion.

Sorry you did not ask a few years sooner. It is now too late for you to receive refunds for 2019---even if the tax forms show a refund, you have forfeited those refunds. If you still want to file the returns anyway, you can print, sign and mail them in, but your refunds will not be issued to you.
