No, you will not receive a Form 1099-R for the 401(k) loan, it is not reported on a tax return.

If you are a non resident alien, you would need to file a form 1040-NR. TurboTax does not support the 1040-NR. You can use Sprintax.com to file your 1040-NR.

I cannot understand how a company that has been around so long does not have enough pride to post a comment stating when they’re going to actually have a working copy of the program hundreds of thousands of people have already purchased and owned and expected to work when they purchased it not one comment from TurboTax as far as when their product is going to be complete for most of us that require the 1099R it is incomplete. The date came 21 January 2026 nothing at 3:37 in the afternoon not even a comment from the company this is not right. I will be going to a different tax program next year thanks Joe

Amended return prior to tax year 2025 cannot be e-filed using TurboTax. They can only be printed and mailed.
Only the Form 1040-X and any changed forms or schedules due to the amendment need to be filed. NOT the original or amended Form 1040 nor any of the other original forms and schedules.

You are correct. To take advantage of the "No Tax on Tips" deduction, you must file jointly if you're married.

I am trying to amend and e-file my 2024 taxes (Fed & NY) which were originally e-filed using the TurboTax desktop (downloaded) TY2024 version on Windows. Like others, I’m encountering the invalid “Correct Your Signature Date” issue which prevents e-filing. Manually filing requires lots of paper, postage, and incurs significantly more delay in processing by the IRS. 2025 update. This problem is preventing me from e-filing my amended 2024 return, even though TT says you should be able to do it this year. I called their Resource Desk, who were clueless but said they would "escalate it." They also said wait for updates 🤣. You can't e-file till Jan 26, so I will try again then but I doubt that's the problem. It appears to be a software glitch. Does anyone know of any tax software that allows you to e-file an amended return? But, even if there is, I guess we would have to enter the original return and the amended return? That would be a lot of work. Thanks, TT!
