Box 7 is for tips that were not included in box 1 and need to be assessed extra social security tax.  Box 14 is a general memo field where the employer can put anything you might want to know.   The tip deduction is not being implemented via the W-2 this year, there will be extra steps in the interview.  I don't know if that is ready yet.  If it is, enter your W-2 as-is and then keep going, there might be box to check for "tip deduction" on the page of special circumstances.

What health insurance paper?    Only a 1095A has to be entered on your tax return.   You do not enter a 1095B or a 1095C.  If you did not enter a 1095A, and the IRS is expecting it, your e-file will probably be rejected.     Did you click that big orange button that said “Transmit my return now?”  If you did that, you cannot do anything to fix it yet.  You have to wait for the email that tells you if your return was accepted or rejected.   Since the IRS will not begin to accept/reject returns until January 26, you are going to be waiting in “pending” for awhile.  Your return is sitting on a server, where you cannot fix  it or get it back.   You cannot change or add anything on the return that you just e-filed, nor can you stop it.  It is too late, just like when you put an envelope in a US mailbox on the corner.  The IRS does not allow you to take it back.   If you left out a W-2, a 1099G, or a dependent, or a 1099 etc…DO NOT change your return while it is “pending.”  The changes will go nowhere.   Now you have to wait until the IRS either rejects or accepts your return.  If your return is rejected, you will be able to go into your account and make the necessary changes to your tax return and re-submit your return.     If the IRS accepts your return, however, then you have to wait longer until it has been fully processed and you have received your refund.  THEN you can prepare an amended tax return and e-file or mail  it in. You have to be able to work from that return exactly the way it was when it was e-filed originally.  You will need to use a form called a 1040X.     Meanwhile, DO NOT go in and start changing anything on your return in the system, or you will make a mess for yourself.  Sit tight and wait until you see what the IRS does with the return you just e-filed   The Form 1040X you need becomes available in late February,  But wait until your return has been processed.

If you are a non-married couple who live together with your child, then only one of you can claim the child(ren) and the one not claiming the child does not enter anything at all on their tax return about the child.   The “sharing” of child-related credits you may have heard about is only possible between divorced or never married parents who live apart and share custody and who have a written agreement to share the credits.    The child’s SSN can only be entered on one tax return.   Any other return with the child’s SSN on it will be rejected.   If you are a family, then work out how to share the refund between yourselves.
@yorkgmartin The Form 1099-R section is estimated to be available in TurboTax on 01/21/2026.

If you have entered your information in My Info and you are age 65 or older then you get an increased standard deduction and are eligible the $6,000 senior deduction.  This deduction is calculated on Schedule 1-A and the amount flows to Form 1040 Line 13b.   Standard deductions for 2025 Single - $15.750 add $2,000 if age 65 or older Married Filing Separately - $15,750 add $1,600 if age 65 or older Married Filing Jointly - $31,500 add $1,600 for each spouse age 65 or older Head of Household - $23,625 add $2,000 if age 65 or older   New Bonus Standard Deduction (OBBB): An additional $6,000 deduction for taxpayers 65 and older. This is per eligible individual, meaning a married couple both over 65 could get $12,000. Important: This bonus deduction is temporary, lasting from 2025 through 2028. Income limitations: It phases out for taxpayers with modified adjusted gross income over $75,000 for single filers and $150,000 for joint filers.

Desktop software Every version has all forms and schedules Forms mode to see all forms as you work and “what if” feature  Can e-file up to five federal returns and their associated state returns If you have more than five federal returns the additional ones can be mailed Tax file is stored on your own hard drive Always available even after tax season ends State e-file fee is an extra fee.   State can be mailed to avoid e-file fee Desktop is more cost effective for multiple returns for family members, etc. Desktop software is available from Intuit or from various retailers—prices vary Only works on full PC or Mac—not on any mobile devices     Online TurboTax Forms and schedules supported vary by which version you use No Forms mode, but you can “preview” Form 1040 and Schedules 1, 2, or 3 before filing One return per fee Separate fees for federal and state returns Each return needs its own account and user ID Tax file is stored in online account for seven years Can be used on any device with internet access  When you use Desktop TurboTax, which you download to your own hard drive, you can prepare and e-file multiple returns for the cost of the software.  You can e-file up to 5 Federal returns—more if you mail the additional ones.  If you have multiple returns to prepare for family members, Desktop is more cost effective.
I used the worksheet and determined I am entitled to almost the full $6K, but the system isn't showing anything.  How do I resolve that so I can file?

Q1---You did not ask a question; you made a statement.    If you are really trying to ask if you can get five federal filings with online--no.   With online you get one return per fee.   Except for the special offer you can use for using online with federal and state now instead of desktop, that is an offer to prepare and file ONE return.   If you have other returns for other family members, etc. you pay for online for each one, with separate fees for federal and state.   Desktop is much more cost effective if you have to prepare multiple returns.   Q2 --- You can switch from online to desktop and move your data from online to desktop, but you cannot go the other way.   If you start using desktop and decide you want to use online, you cannot move the information to the online program unless you start over.   Q3 --- Yes you lose the $10 Retail Club Credit and Advantage.  The Advantage Plan is for desktop software.

Schedule 1-A shows as available. This is still not calculating correctly for MAGI of $120000. It says "Congrats! You're saving money on your taxes."  and the Vehile loan interest deduction is $0. A MAGI of $120000 is still eligible for the deduction. It reduces the maximum amount for the deduction by 200.00 for each 1000 over 100000. So instead of 10000, the maximum amount a person could deduct should be 6000.00  When will this form be fixed? If I am missing any additional information, please let us know.

When will the 1099R be available?
You did not pay that bill in 2025 so it does not go on your 2025 tax return.  Use it next year when you prepare a 2026 return.
