I used to do Backdoor Roth Conversation for all IRA contribution (Contribute to Traditional IRA first, then immediately transfer to Roth IRA, almost no gain for traditional IRA, maybe a little interest. How if I make contribute to traditional IRA, and broker matches 3.5% on IRA contribution (up to $280/year), and I want to transfer all the money to Roth IRA. How does it work with tax filing? I don't even know when match amount will be released? Soon after contribution or 365 days after premium subscription or 5 years later? The bottom line is --- I don't want to make tax filing too complicated.

This is confusing (specifically the second sentence regarding tax withheld: "Losses are an itemized deduction that go on Schedule A. They are only deductible up to the amount of tax withheld from all of your other income combined." Per my experiences in TurboTax, losses are only deductible up to the amount of the gambling winnings. Also, per the IRS Interactive Tax Assistant: "The amount you deduct for gambling losses cannot exceed the amount of gambling winnings you report."

Notice CP504B is not the first notice that you received. There must have been an earlier notice that told you what was wrong in your tax return, and several more notices that you did not respond to. Now it has gotten to the point where the IRS is going to seize your assets to cover the tax that you owe. You need to go immediately to a tax professional who is experienced in handling IRS problems. You cannot do it yourself, and you cannot do it with advice from the internet. See Understanding your CP504B notice on the IRS website for more information.

I just had a look at the Travis County Probate Court web site. Unfortunately, you can't be pro se, you must be represented by an attorney in this case. (You can be pro se if you are only representing your own interests. Since you would be seeking to represent the interests of someone else, you are not allowed to be pro se.)
So I would ask an attorney what they would charge to represent you for the initial filing and then the ongoing costs (for annual financial filings, etc.) until the child turns 18, and balance those costs against the costs of waiting (which not only includes potential taxes and penalties, but the opportunity cost of not being able to withdraw the money even if the child had a good reason).
Good luck.

I agree the county clerk should be the route. I've talked to them several times and so far they've not been able to assist. In fact they've bounced me around departments until I ended up back where I started. It's a big county (over 4 million people). Perhaps it would be simpler in a smaller place. I also hit an attorney and his comment was likely the only route is to go the full financial guardian route through the court system. So far there's no "file this form and you're good".
I agree that you need to be appointed financial guardian. But my thought is that the paperwork might be possible as a pro se.
(Tangentially related, my ex-wife and I legally separated in NY using attorneys. Once we decided to go all the way with the divorce, NY has a process to convert a legal separation to an uncontested divorce. It wasn't just one form, but I was able to do it without an attorney, by following the instructions on the court web site.)
When it comes down to brass tacks, every legal action starts with at least one form, in this case asking the court for the appointment.
My main point is, there will be some cost of doing nothing and waiting. Whether that cost is higher or lower than the cost of getting the appointment, is something you should consider as part of this process.
Good luck.

the problem, as it was explained to me, with just getting the paper without going through the full process is a bit like proving that ghosts do not exist. While Texas law states that by default the parent is the financial guardian, you don't know if there is other paperwork overriding the default. I could be some dead-beat dad behind on child support trying to make off with the child's inheritance. Without doing the full court search you don't know what other rulings might be out there countermanding the default.....
