After the IRS releases the 2025 forms and instructions, TurboTax will need some time to incorporate the new forms and instructions into the software.

You did all the work and got exactly the correct result. If TurboTax lets you SUBMIT , you are just reporting a distribution that is not taxed. I don't think TurboTax will e-file a 2023 1040-X so you would have to mail it in. It's not necessary. @CRAM5

when you have a loss after removal of an excess, there is no tax. You don't have to amend. You can just ignore a 1099-R with a code P and taxable amount Zero. @CRAM5

What do you see on the IRS refund site? Look there instead of looking for a transcript too soon.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
https://www.irs.gov/refunds
FROM THE IRS WHERE’S MY REFUND SITE:
https://www.irs.gov/wheres-my-refund
How it works
Where's My Refund shows your refund status:
Return Received – We received your return and are processing it.
Refund Approved – We approved your refund and are preparing to issue it by the date shown.
Refund Sent – We sent the refund to your bank or to you in the mail. It may take 5 days for it to show in your bank account or several weeks for your check to arrive in the mail.

When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.
Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses. Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.

First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

To track your state refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing

@benplimpton66 Perhaps more info is needed. I suspect you shouldn't need Other State tax part of the 39R at all. IF...if your HOR/State of legal residence (SLR) is IDaho? Then your Military W-2 income is not taxable by CA. Only if you worked a civilian job while off-duty in CA (civilian W-2 or Self-employed work in CA), only then would you need a non-resident CA tax return that would result in CA Non-resident taxes being assessed. If your HOR/SLR is ID, then you do NOT indicate you moved to CA in the Personal Information section of tax software. As an active duty military person, you are treated as having lived in ID all year, no matter were you are posted or deployed. ____________________________ Read: What is my military state of residence?

Prescription Insurance payments...Part D perhaps? Yes, as "potential" Medical Deductions you enter on the Deductions&Credits page in the Medical Expenses area. The interview in that area will ask about all medical insurance payments you made. .....but it doesn't end up as a deduction unless 1) All your out-of-pocket Medical expenses exceed 7.5% of your AGI, and then only the part that exceeds the 7.5% of AGI is included in your itemized deductions...AND 2) even then, ALL your itemized deductions must exceed your Standard Deduction before any will be used. Of course, if you have enough itemized deductions to be used, you'll have to upgrade to the Deluxe software to use them. The online Free or Live Basic software can't utilize itemized deductions/Schedule A.
