I'm experiencing same problem. Been filing with Turbo Tax for decades. Never had this problem before. Asks me for my last years AGI (pre-fills it for me), then asks me for my spouse's AGI (and pre-fills the same number - we are MFJ) so I accept it. Submit the return (4/12/25) with my payment and assume everything is OK. No rejection notice from Turbotax. I did get an email from the IRS on 4/14/25 headed "Notification from the IRS" but was actually worried it was phishing so didn't click on the link. On 4/18/25 receive a letter in the mail saying my return was rejected. Do some research and find out I need to enter "0" in my spouse's AGI. It seems it may have accepted that. Probably going to get a late filing and paying penalty from the IRS and I'm pretty annoyed.

Thank you DabaB27! I still need your help for the following: 1. I will mail my amended 2023 return to IRS. Should I only need to mail the form1040-X and the forms related to the excess contributions (form 1099-R, schedule 2, form 5329)? Since I owe money to IRS, I need to include a check for it, right? 2. Because it is now passed the due date of 2024, I have to pay the 6% excess contribution penalty for 2024. Since I already filed my 2024 return, I need to file an amended 2024 return for the excess contribution carryover or I can pay the penalty in 2025 return? 3. Should I only need to take a regular distribution for the excess amount, don't need to concern the earnings, right? (should be no any earnings since the market dropped a lot now). Thank you for your help!

Code 031 is for the AGI. Try entering 0 for the AGI.

You can't get the fees after you file from the Desktop program. You buy the program before you install it. Then the only fee would be to efile the state return for $20 or 25. And if you need to buy a second different state program for $45. THEN if you want the fees deducted from your federal return there is a $40 Refund Processing Service charge ($45 in California) which you can avoid by paying the state efile fee with a credit card or you can print and mail state for free. So the fees could only be like $60. You should probably have an email confirming the fees. Did you do a state return? Federal and state refunds come separately at different times from different places. Who was the deposit from? Directly from the IRS or state or the 3rd party bank SBTPG that takes the fees out?

I sent my previous reply too soon... If this helps, I've been using TTD since 2018 and my previous year's return is simply loaded into this year's return. As I mentioned in my original post, does that PIN ever reveal itself when we start a new return? I ask because I'm half tempted to re-enter all of my 2024 into a brand new return simply to see if I missed the PIN's reveal. Thoughts? tyvm!

The profit/loss on one SP mini contract is $50 per point. You do the math. Thanks to Mr Trump the SP can be moving over one hundred points several times a day, sometimes in just 30 minutes.

@tmmoore800 Curious how long it took for MO to take the amount you owed from your bank account after filing? I opted for the same but no money has been deducted from my bank account yet.

I have this exact issue. Turbotax support hasn’t been able to help me after spending an hour and a half on the phone. It really seems to be an account issue since I similarly tried a PC, a Mac, an iPhone, and with various browsers. Were you ever able to find a resolution? Really appreciate any insight.

To file Form 6781, enter the aggregate profit or loss Line 11 in the box provided. Unless you are a professional trader, that's all you do. Do not check any option boxes.

Before I upgrade, can you please confirm they can make the edit so I don't have to download desktop? Others are saying they can't correct it themselves in the online version.
