Cant e-file with Fidelity Investments Checking - This needs fixed - Bank ID Needs to be altered . Been like this for years.   If you spend hours and hours trying to find the tweak it can work.    This should be fixed,  This year i had to give up after a few hours and use a secondary Bank which i did not like.  The fix would be on the TurboTax side for e-filing.

@tenniseric98  "Amounts paid under Social Security for Medicare" applies to people who are collecting Social Security benefits. It means Medicare premiums that are deducted from your Social Security benefits, as shown under "Description of amount in box 3" on your Form SSA-1099. It does not refer to anything on a W-2.

In 2023 I owed some tax to South Carolina as a non resident as I reside in Delaware.    I am now filing for 2024, and the "Other Income Taxes paid in 2024" Interview Section asked the following:  "How much of your 2023 state taxes did you pay in 2024? Enter the balance due paid in 2024 on your 2023 state taxes" Here I entered the amount I paid on 4/14/24. for the balance due my 2023 SC non resident return.   This amount carries over to the 2024 Delaware itemized deduction form line 5A and is combined with my 2024 DE property tax in 5c to calculate my itemized deduction amount on PIT-RSA .  It seems like I already got credit for this on my 2023 Delaware return line 27   "TAX IMPOSED BY OTHER STATES".  If my understanding is correct, do I need to delete the entry I made in the interview question in bold text at the top of this thread?   Thanks,

When you are entering income on a joint return, every income entry screen will either have a spot with both spouse’s names there, or when you click to enter a W-2, 1099R, etc. it will ask you by name which spouse it is for.  You do not have to wait for the software to “ask” you for your spouse’s income. Go to the screens to enter your spouse’s W-2’s, 1099’s, etc. just like you did for your own income.  Then look for your spouse’s name there.
You cannot e-file the state returns if the federal return was not successfully e-filed and accepted by the IRS.  If you file federal by mail, you have to file state by mail as well.

Both you and your parents need to enter a copy of the Form 1095-A that you received on your tax returns. TurboTax will ask you questions about if the policy was shared with someone and how to allocate the costs and credit.    Login to TurboTax. Select Federal  and Deductions & Credits. Scroll down to Medical and select Show More. Select Start/Revisit next to Affordable Care Act (Form 1095-A). Answer yes, I received Form 1095-A. Enter the information and select Continue. Select I shared this policy with another taxpayer who’s not on my taxes and Continue. On the next screen you will enter the SSN for the other person and the start and end months that you shared the policy with the other person.  Make sure all of the percentages for  your premium, your SLCSP, and your advance payment add up to 100% for everyone who shares the policy and enters it on their tax return. It should be an amount that everyone agrees on. It could be 50/50, 100/0, or another amount. TurboTax will calculate the information that should be on your return based on your answers.   Review this TurboTax article I'm on my parents' 1095-A form. What do I do on my return? so they can correctly enter the 1095-A

Do you mean your w-2? -  There is no box 12 on Form 1099-SA.    For your 1099-SA, TurboTax will ask if you used all of the distribution on medical expenses.   If you answer Yes, the amount is not taxable.       You don't have to enter anything in the additional contributions box unless you make contributions to your HSA outside of your employer.   The contributions you (and your employer) made are already included from your W-2, so don't duplicate that amount.
The 1099-B lists over 53 dates acquired about quarterly for both long & short term as uncovered with listing a Acquired Date. Since this was an abandon account we don't have any other paperwork.
