Hi, If I transferred rom bank "A" to bank " B" all the funds from my traditional IRA at bank " A" to a traditional IRA at bank " B", should I reflect somehow on my tax return? The bank " B" said because it was a Direct transfer between a banks, I do not need to record on my taxes. Is it correct? Also I just confirmed with bank " A" that it was a Direct transfer and they will not issue any tax forms to me for 2025. Thank you.

Yes it’s still the same. Those 2024 amounts will transfer to 2025.

I'm confused by the Second Part step. Are you saying that shares sold in addition to the NUA shares should have a cost basis = the NUA? In my case, for the shares sold in addition to the NUA, if I enter the NUA value and I see a huge refund. Not likely. For Ref: Sale of shares in addition to the NUA: Proceeds = $50k Actual basis for the additional shares = $49k NUA = $200k Thanks

Do you mean that capital loss carryovers and rental property depreciation will not transfer from my 2024 to my 2025 return? This has always been the when I've used Turbotax for the past three decades.

Absolutely unacceptable that the program is for sale but not usable until January of next year.

@jorgeortioneto ,
since you are not an employee of the US entity, you are NRA, the actual work is carried out abroad and there is no tax treaty contravening general IRS position ( income is sourced to where the work is performed ), the US entity is wrong in withholding US federal taxes on your active income. The income is not US sourced i.e. it is Paraguay sourced. You do not need to file a US 1040-NR.
Also US entity probably has not been able to transfer the (withheld) federal taxes without an account number -- your tax ID ( SSN or ITIN ).
Please contact the US entity for the refund..
Is there more I can do for you ?

Penalties? Only if it is in a IRA account and you don't replace it within 60 days. For a regular account you might pay tax on it even if you put it back.

That's unfortuate....also why many of us keep stressing to folks to backup all their files on an off-computer USB-Flashdrive. Still, your situation seems to be quite rare....even for MAC folks. I seem to recall only a very few instances of MAC folks having old files disappear. IF it was endemic, this forum would be screaming with hundreds posts complaining. I saw one post where they found them in their recycle bin...which didn't show up in their normal search.

Yep.....for any "Online" users, they pay separately for each account. (unless the taxpayer involved has Std Ded, no 1099-B/8949 investments & no other special forms needed...then maybe Free)

I agree. Longtime Macintax/Turbotax user. I do NOT intend to buy a new computer just to run Windows 11. How hard can it really be to make Turbotax work with Windows 10?

He certainly can work for his brother. If he worked under the direction of his brother he was an employee and should receive a W-2. Withholding should have been done by his employer.
