Thank you for your response. However, I must emphasize that the issue here is not an IRS error or miscalculation, but that TurboTax misled me as a non-resident alien (NRA) into using a product that is not designed to support Form 1040-NR, which is the required form for my tax status. TurboTax allowed me to complete and pay for a return that is invalid for my residency status. This is not a simple technical error — it is a fundamental product suitability issue. I was not properly warned or blocked from continuing, even though TurboTax clearly does not support non-resident filings. As a result, I unknowingly filed an incorrect return and am now facing a highly stressful situation with potentially serious consequences. I respectfully ask: why must I wait for the IRS to respond before TurboTax acknowledges this as a refund-eligible situation? The error occurred at the point of product selection and usage — not due to an IRS notice. This experience has already wasted a significant amount of my time, caused considerable stress, and already  required professional amending of my tax return. I am requesting a full refund of $143, in accordance with the TurboTax Satisfaction Guarantee. Please escalate this matter if necessary. I would greatly appreciate a prompt resolution.

The return will need to be amended to report the correct EIN on Schedule K-1.    From the IRS perspective, a different taxpayer received the incorrect K-1. The name and EIN won't match their records, so it needs to be corrected.    The investor should receive the corrected K-1 for their tax records. As long as the income & deductions on the K-1 didn't change, the investor doesn't need to file an amended return. If the IRS has questions, the corrected K-1 will explain the discrepancy.
One thing you can't change on an amendment is your bank information. If you look at the form, it is not even reported on the 1040X. They use the information from your original return.

For TurboTax Business: 1) You may include the New Jersey income tax withholding as Supplemental Information using Box 13 Code ZZ Line 3 "State income tax withheld."   Using Box 13 Code ZZ will create a note on the NJ Schedule NK-1 that references the federal K-1 supplemental information provide by your investment.   For TurboTax Desktop: 2) When you enter the federal K-1 with Box 13 Code ZZ, you will see a page where you can enter Line 3 (state tax withholding). You don't need to enter this amount anywhere else on your 1040 return.   During the Partnership/K-1 interview for your New Jersey individual return, look for "Schedule NJK-1" and the question about Part III. The top box is for "Share of New Jersey Tax." Enter the amount from the NJK-1 supplemental information here.

What must be done if an investor, which is an LLC, transferred its interests to a different LLC and the EIN was not updated on the K-1 for tax purposes? The old EIN from the original LLC was used with the new correct transferee LLC name. Does the whole tax return need to be amended or can you just amend the K-1 and reissue to the investor?   I am assuming the investor then needs to also do an amended return with the corrected K-1?   Thank you
4.  Add the 2 1099-NEC to the schedule C.   5. The depreciation will be tied to the schedule C as well.  So it won't matter that which one of you has their name on it.   @Alex012
Update- I secured an IP PIN from IRS website for only me as the first person listed, added that and resubmitted.  The Federal return was accepted.  No need to print and mail!

The problem stems from what appear to be several errors you have made on your tax return.   "In TTax it is entered under "Tax withholding that you haven't entered yet""   As baldietax said, estimated tax payments are not tax withholding.  They must be entered as estimated tax payments, not tax withholding.  TurboTax has a separate page for that.   "The mutual fund company did not give me any tax forms for these transactions."   Also as baldietax said, the company is required to issue a Form 1099-R for any Roth conversions.  If you received no such forms, you'll need to investigate that with the company.  If the conversions made in 2024 were not reported to you or the IRS on one or more Forms 1099-R, the IRS will not be aware of this taxable income and will reject the payment of any the taxes for taxable income that is not present on your tax return.  If the company did issue a Form 1099-R, the IRS should have received it from the company, would have detected the underreporting of income on your tax return, and likely would not repeatedly return the estimated tax payment.   baldietax also addressed the issue that, unlike the default treatment for tax withholding, estimated tax payments are credited when actually paid.  Because, by default, income is treated as received evenly throughout the year, if your Roth conversions and estimated tax payments were made late in the year and you do not qualify for one of the safe harbors, you'll likely need to annualize income on Schedule AI of Form 2210 to avoid underpayment penalties for earlier tax quarters.
