I am using TurboTax desktop and have a 1099-OID from Wells Fargo Advisors for tax exempt bonds. There are amounts in both Box 6 (acquisition premium) and Box 11 (tax-exempt OID). I need to adjust the amounts for both items (for acquisition premium not reported to the IRS and for tax exempt original issue discount not reported to the IRS). TurboTax gives me the option to adjust an amount, but not to adjust both boxes. I tried entering the amounts separately (a 1099-OID entry for Box 6 and then another for Box 11 but I received an error message). How would I report these items? (Alternatively, could I enter the tax exempt OID box 11 and related adjustment as tax exempt interest to a 1099-INT that I create (and enter it in Box 😎 and then include the acquisition premium in Box 13 of the 1099-Int I create for the Wells Fargo 1099-INT.--rather than enter it in the 1099-OID screen enter the amounts in a 1099-INT screen. The result is the same (tax exempt interest will be the correct amount, but not sure if this "fix" /work-around is appropriate).

I"ve tried to clear out 00-0000000 so it was blank and that didn't work. I also tried to change it to 99-9999999 which didn't work either.

@jsgdavidmrg wrote: TurboTax on windows 10 for 2025 Can I use TurboTax on Windows 10 for 2025 taxes if I purchase the extended security from Microsoft? Great question, but I don't think folks will yet know at this point. All I know is this FAQ below, which only says Intuit "may" restrict the 2025 software. You'll have to see if you get additional comments in this thread. They are likely a bit skittish of the potential security issues for users who don't pay Microsoft, and any case they would have to test it on Windows 10 machines as they developing it before making a final decision. It does give them the excuse to push more people toward Online TurboTax. When you e-file your federal return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first one will say that your return was submitted. The second email will tell you if your federal return was accepted or rejected. If you e-filed a state return, there will be a third email to tell you if the state accepted or rejected your state return.
First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:
https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/
If the IRS accepted it, what does it say here? (Allow 24 - 48 hours after acceptance to look)
https://www.irs.gov/refunds
Or does your account say “Ready to Mail?” Or “Rejected?” Or “Printed?”
FROM THE IRS WHERE’S MY REFUND SITE:
https://www.irs.gov/wheres-my-refund
How it works
Where's My Refund shows your refund status:
Return Received – We received your return and are processing it.
Refund Approved – We approved your refund and are preparing to issue it by the date shown.
Refund Sent – We sent the refund to your bank or to you in the mail. It may take 5 days for it to show in your bank account or several weeks for your check to arrive in the mail.

if you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund then the banking information on the tax form is the information to send your refund to the third party bank. That bank gets your refund first from the IRS. They take out your TurboTax fees and send the rest to you---and that bank has YOUR direct deposit information.
When you choose "refund processing" TurboTax gets its fees when the IRS releases your refund. Your refund goes to the third party bank. The bank takes out your fees and then that bank sends the rest of the refund to you.
Santa Barbara Tax Products Group, LLC (SBTPG) is the bank that handles the Refund Processing Service when you choose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your refund. This option also has an additional charge from the bank that processes the transaction.
You can contact them SBTPG, toll-free, at 1-877-908-7228 or go to their secure website www.sbtpg.com

Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities. There is no rule as to which one will come in first or how long it will be between their arrival in your account.
TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer. “21 days” is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.
First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:
https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/
Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
https://www.irs.gov/refunds
To track your state refund:
https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_US_en_US?uid=lt447ebr
If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing

Remember when you tell the IRS that you have a business, you have to have a business—make a profit (3 out of 5 years, I just read somewhere as I am researching Vine taxes for myself), keep meticulous records, actually sell something or provide a service. I am going to have extra money deducted from my work taxes to help with the tax burden at the end of the year and try to stick to mostly getting things that I would be buying anyway.

No one in the user forum can resolve a billing issue. If you have a question about your TurboTax fees or billing, make sure you use the word “billing” in your request for help. Do not use the word “refund.”

Sometimes people get confused by the “summary” given by TurboTax and use the wrong amount for the federal refund. Make sure you are only using the federal refund amount, and not an amount that combined your federal and state refunds.
Your federal refund amount is on line 35a of your Form 1040
