@tylerjhall2018 wrote: I see plenty of articles on how to change the phone numbers associated with the sign in & security section, but I do not see anything on how to update the phone number in the contact info from the "preferences" section, where there is no option to do so.   Has anyone been able to solve this? When you update the phone number and/or email address in the "Sign In & Security", section does it not flow automatically to the Contact Info displayed in the Preferences section?     Did you already try it, and are you saying you updated everything in "Sign In & Security", but nothing changed in the Contact Info shown in Prefefences?    Like you,  I don't see any way to make changes directly in that section.   I don't have a way to test changing it since my 2 contact items have already been verified, and I don't want to change them and have to verify them again.   However, there is another way to make changes to phone and email address, but I don't know what will happen; i.e., I don't know whether it will flow only to Sign In & Security alone or whether it will also update Preferences.  It may or may not make any difference.  But you can play around with it, if you wish.   Log in to your Intuit Account. You may arrive at the Overview screen.  If not in left column click Overview. Towards the right is a Quick Actions section.  Choose "Show More" and keep clicking Show More until the list of actions shows everything you need.  (I had to click it twice to make the list longer.) Then you can choose to change the email, phone, etc.  However, I don't know if that also changes the "Contact Info" that you see in Preferences.

Is there a way to download my originally filed 2022 return to start from scratch in Desktop? I deleted the 1040X but the information is still fudged up from before and Schedule C is “not done”. I would just copy my filed return 1:1 but not sure that’s possible with just the PDF from the original return.

If you click on Amend (change) 2022 return after you download the .tax file, it should give you a link to get the 2022 desktop software.

I'm not sure what I did in 2024 that  would generate the 502 UP  underpayment in 2023.   In 2024,  my job took a turn,  I worked 9 mons due to 3 of unemployment months.     Of the nine month,  Six of the nine months was earning minimum wage which is less than what I used to make in my real job, the other three was unemployed.     The entire income dropped significantly to minimum wage.   Yet I am told that I owe $1078+ interest to which I went ahead and pay since it is deadline to file 2024 and I did not want to be fine.     After the filing,  It generated another set of  502-UP form for next year 2025 with a quarterly of $338.   The job I am doing now pays  much less then what I used to earn in 2023 and prior and part of 2024 (3 month).   My deduction has always been 0.   So why am I owed tax and underpay?  I am very confused.  Can someone please help me explain what cause this?   My deduction has always been the same year after year - single '0'.    how is it that I am underpaying my tax when I pay each timeI do my tax,  I would either get a refund from years past or pay when I owe a small change.   This time it is significant and underpay.   Please help.

For anyone with the same issue, here is what I did: I simply told TurboTax that this was NOT a refinance, and it correctly calculated my tax deduction.  Love how I have to enter INCORRECT information to get TurboTax to correctly calculate my taxes.  I am so done with this program.

I don’t see a license key anywhere. I paid $209 for Live Premium + $70 for State and have online done TT Online. Surely I don’t have to pay more money for the desktop version do I?

Actually I would just enter your total income as Other self employment income or as Cash or General income.  You don't need to get a 1099NEC or 1099Misc or 1099K.  Even if you did you can enter all your income as Cash.  Only the total goes to schedule C.   You can fill out Schedule C and enter 1099NEC, Cash or Self Employment Income into Online Deluxe but if you have any expenses you will have to upgrade to the Premium or use any of the Desktop CD/Download programs. All the Desktop programs have the same forms, so you can buy a lower version.  You just get more help and guidance in the higher versions.   How to enter income from Self Employment https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/self-employed/help/how-do-i-report-income-from-self-employment/00/26653
